If Habbo is a game, how do you complete it?

Habbo has been portrayed as an online socialising game for so long, but with any good game there has to be an aim or atleast an objective to it.
Many people have different views on what the aim of Habbo is whether it be to collect furni and badges, to make a successful fansite, make themed rooms or to create games - Everyones views and opinions are different.

So I ask you; in your opinion how do you know when you've completed Habbo, or does it just carry on and is there no end?

(Try and stick to sensible and constructive answers and not stupid ones like "When you realise that it's crap and quit")

Guess you've not heard of a role playing game. The Sims has no completion, and that's a God-game come role playing game.

When you have cybered in every public room. I don't know, it's like think of the first thing you wanted when you began playing habbo and if you've managed to do that then you've completed it maybe.

So that's what your sister seen... Probably with male Habbos. Hee hee. I think the aim of the game changed for me over time. Firstly it was to get friends (yeah, that sounds sad) & then it was furni & richness, and then room building along with other stuff which went on after. It's a bit much really.

I'm yet to do it in the welcome lounge. I know what you mean though because you progress each time you've done what you wanted to. Maybe, firstly collected furni, then make a casino, try and collect badges for example. Each time you manage to do one, you do another.

Not sure, but that's all I could think of when writing the thread, lol.
I do know that they are now calling it a "hangout for teens" though.

"hangout for teens" is Habbo's slogan but a game doesn't necessarily have to have an end. Like The Sims 2 or GTA, they don't really end except GTA gives you missions, but when they're complete you can still play. I think that's a role playing game, or at least considered one.

Did you mean what if it was a game with an ending btw? Looking at some of the posts I can't quite tell :P

"Where else?" is also their slogan. :P

I would say that there isn't really any way to 'complete' Habbo, but everyone has their own little goals. Mine are simple, just to enjoy myself, which I'll do by talking to new people, making rooms, etc.

If I were to say anything.. it's that ^. Bad or good though. As long as people know you're name.. you're set.

That being said, Habbo isn't even a game. It's a virtual chat room. Everyone just turns it into a game though.

When I first joined, it was to get furni/badges, but now, I just go on to hang out with the mates i've made on Habbo, theres no objective imo.

Habbo is potrayed as an online game but yet Its not merely that, habbo gorws on you, everyons aims and objectives are different,
- Collect Furni
- Be Well-Known
- Create a successful fansite
- Make great friends

you can never really complete the habbo game, you complete it when you decide its boring and you decide to quit.
