Prince Harry has been fighting the Taleban on the front line in Afghanistan, the Ministry of Defence has confirmed. Harry, 23, who is third in line to the throne, has spent the last 10 weeks serving in Helmand Province.
It comes after the prince's planned tour to Iraq last year had to be cancelled because of a security risk sparked by publicity.

the bbc updated;
Chief of the General Staff Sir Richard Dannatt, who is head of the British Army, said he was disappointed the news had leaked.
In a statement, he said: "I am very disappointed that foreign websites have decided to run this story without consulting us.
"This is in stark contrast to the highly responsible attitude that the whole of the UK print and broadcast media, along with a small number overseas, who have entered into an understanding with us over the coverage of Prince Harry on operations.
In an interview in Helmand Province, Harry - a member of the Household Cavalry - talked about life as a soldier on the front line.
"I haven't really had a shower for four days, I haven't washed my clothes for a week.
"It's very nice to be sort of a normal person for once, I think it's about as normal as I'm going to get."

I'm very happy the news wasn't released straight the way... Could cause some problems now it's been leaked though, since the Taleban know he's in Afghanistan now (if he still is...) so they might get targeted more...
But I won't start the same debate that happened last year :)

I expect he will be moved provinces but kept in the country, it would be hard to spot him in his army gear anyway, he just looks like a normal soldier.

A video showing white students bullying black staff members was "no more than play-acting" according to a lawyer's letter, South African media report.
The video shows white students at the University of Free State allegedly forcing black employees to eat food that had been urinated on.
It sparked widespread condemnation and students and staff held an anti-racism march at the campus in Bloemfontein. Two students have been suspended from campus and could face criminal charges.
Why whould they drink and eat the food which has been pissed?
And then pepole will say that's PlayActing?
That's the most ridicoulous thing i have ever heard in my life.

I'm really pleased about the news, sadly it does put the Army at risk as they're meant to 'take his bullets' should he come under attack. But he is in the army and he wanted to fight, and he also went 10 weeks undercover so it's all good news.
Shame some stupid Australian's and American's leaked the news, but he lasted 10 weeks so it's not a complete disaster.
Good luck ;)

Well of course he does. He knows hes not a normal person because he's third in line to become one of the most powerful people in the world.

Yes, but he thinks that us 'normal' people don't have a shower for four days or that we don't wash our clothes for a week.

Its a shame really, he was doing what he wanted and loved to do and some folk decided to spoil it for him.

He shouldn't be treated any different from the others. Leave him out there I say, if he dies he dies. It should be his decision at the end of the day.

I think it's the right decision to pull him out, but only because the embargo was broken.
If nobody knew he was out there, then heck, let him stay out there for as long as he needs/wants.

I wouldn't call this news.
So the media has to report on Harry serving, well not, in Afghanistan while thousands more soldiers only get reported when they are killed.
And why is he being brought home? He did the same bloody training as everyone else and it's not fair that he gets to be some pen pusher when many other families have husbands and wives who go off and fight in this pointless war willingly.

he is part of the royal family and will be the prime target for taleban fighters now, it's more for the safety of the team he is working with - because the taleban know harry was there they would just target his area to get harry killed thus putting his team at a greater risk.
I expect they will bring him back and send him out to another part next week.

Them quotes go nice together, ncie to see he looks down on us 'normal' people =]He'd be stupid thinking he is normal, he isn't normal. He'd of fought in Iraq if he was a 'Normal' person, and most people don't live in Palace's? He doesn't have a normal life either, he doesn't do what 'normal' people do, he's just saying he's different to the average person, and he felt like how a normal person would be.
wow so the stupid royal family gave him a life. What exactly the royal family done to you?
Yes, but he thinks that us 'normal' people don't have a shower for four days or that we don't wash our clothes for a week.He means 'normal' people fighting the war on terrorism tend to have shower's once every four days. He's being treated very similarly to them lot fighting the war on terrorism, so he's beginning to experience being a 'Normal' person.

I think he's doing it because he knows he won't get killed or be treated like the other soldiers he's fighting with.

But if the 'Talebans' found out, he would be the main target, so good he left.

It's the German's fault I believe. The pictures were shown in a German paper and then an American website saw this, so then the website posted the pictures and then it really broke.

Agreed. Bit pathetic he came back because he might of been killed, every day people are getting killed but he's the special one which gets to go home because we know it's out there? Sad.
