Usually when girls say 'awww' when you tell them you like them, it means they dont really like you in that way.. just friendly. When someone says that to me, (if I don't really like them) I don't know what to say, I mean you can't say 'Oh really?' because they might get the wrong idea. I say 'awww', it doesn't mean she likes you. But ask her.
