Hello guys!

Right, ive been asked by someone at work to create a website for them, its like a auction type thing but when someone times the item on there they put it on there for a fixed price so lets say, err... My socks? i put them on there for £5 and then someone likes the item but they dont like the price they can 'haggle' it. (haggle - try and get the price down).

Its abit like ebay but different!

Hopefully you guys understand, if someone can make this and gimmie a quote, that'll be great!

tarr

I'd of said more £4-500 if you're wanting it fully working and the database installed.

It depends on where the quote is coming from, sloppy coders are gonna do it for less.

Although, it's pretty simple, you have a products table that has columns product_id (primary & auto_increment), product_name, product_description, product_sold ... etc

For each product inserted, create a row in a table called haggle, then a column name called product_id, which would correspond with the product_id in the products table.

etc lol

tbh i'd use PHPauction then skin it and have a form that sends to the seller like
send to mysqlauctioner Form Options ask about item haggle and etc

its not a huge thing unless you want it complety custom coded

Depends, if it's a full system for a larger site looking to expand, with full db optimization and other systems, then around the 1.5-2k scale, if it's for a very large site then (going on what I've been offered before) about 5k, for a smaller site if they don't get much traffic then they don't need that much efficiency so I'd go with about 200-500 for that.

Lol, no offence... but couldn't a script be made easily like that, I know web design/coding is MONEY $_$

But also, I'd have gone with Tomm's offer, that <?PHP?> guy doesn't look like he knows a thing about PHP, also including his last HxF username was habfm.net and was always asking for coding help.
