No I'm pretty sure he wasn't, I think he just made most of the classic scripting stuff I though. I know he did roomkicks and furni in walls, and I think he did mutants as well, which means he probably did multi-coloured stickies too.

Scripting and hacking are two completely different things and as for who's caused the most havoc I would have to say Finch-HIMself, I don't think SonicMouse ever went to the extent where Habbo had to actually close down for maintenance and gave out over 80 million Habbo coins, etc

Finch hasn't only hacked one staff member and he uses various methods to get them..... and just think if Finch-HIMself was hacking when SonicMouse was about when they were a lot less secure.

Sonicmouse is one of the most famous scripters of all time due to being one of the first scripters on the hotel who learnt to exploit the hotel in many different ways.
As for finch, he uses fake login/phisers to trick Habbo staff and is an expert in VB exploits but there is no proof he knows anything about programming which what scripting basically is.

What exactly did SonicMouse discover and who do you know that's hacked a staff account on Habbo since they've upgraded and added extra security to their systems? Finch-HIMself has hacked eight or more moderators and two administrators along with several famous Habbo's and had caused Habbo to even CLOSE THEIR HOTEL DOWN for maintenance...

I don't know what this debate is about but if it's about who's caused more havoc, Finch wins.

SonicMouse wins easily. He showed off so many possible scripts at the time that people had no idea about. Also think of the fear factor he created, in his time people locked their rooms
(literally almost every habbo) so as not to have him "steal their furni" which he couldn't actaully do, but then again, why would people think that...

Packets are things HABBO provide, not for you to make for yourself. Scripting is about injecting and manipulating packets that already exist. :rolleyes:

Sonic had a much easier job back then as the packets were a lot more simpler back then, which means they were easier to understand. Habbo also had less security measures, which means it was easier to get into panels and manipulate packets as back then the server didn't always check if a packet was allowed if you get me.

So overall, Sonic IS better than Finch; but in today's world, they both are very over-rated.

Ummm, for those of you saying that Finch got lucky, you're an idiot. You don't get "lucky" when you've hacked eight or more staff members. He's good at what he does and regardless of the method he used, it's still hacking. Finch has also released a lot of vBulletin exploits and created programs, scripts, etc for a lot of other things not just Habbo and he releases them on his forum to the VIP section.

SonicMouse is good at scripting but at the end of the day, they are both really over rated and you've got nobody to blame but Habbo. They're making people talk about Finch more when they add him to the bobba filter etc, but I guess they don't see that - lol.

They're both good at what they do nonetheless.

Yeah.. Hobba tool was, as the name says, a tool that was used by Hobbas years ago. It was leaked somehow, and that's how everyone managed to get ahold of it. It still works on all the hotels, but now that they have the flood control, it's somewhat pointless.


.. As for the sonicmouse vs finch debate, I'd have to agree with whoever said that we can't compare them as they did different things. Sonicmouse was a scripter, and Finch was a hacker. I personally have more respect for Sonicmouse because he went after how it worked, as opposed to Finch, who just went after the accounts. Although I'll respect finch for the time and patience he probably put into getting ahold of the accounts, I think sonicmouse accords more respect because he actually had to be skillful with the packets, etc. And we can't judge him by the standards of today - even though some of the things he did then could now be considered "easy", it's only easy now because what he figured out became common knowledge - and you still had to hand it to him for being creative enough/intelligent enough to figure it out then. Even if it was less secure then, it's still no easy feat to find ways to script, especially as they went patching up anything that got leaked. So in my mind, sonicmouse is the better of the two. Especially considering the fact that when it really comes down to it, finch is just a hacker, and I dislike hackers. (Although I did find what Finch did to the staff accounts amusing!)

Aha, heightmap wasn't a program. You could edit the heightmap so that it was tricked to show the wall further in or out. WEP key's are to secure wireless internet connections and the name is Artmoney. ;)

All Finch did was make a Mod Login Phisher and emailed to the staff, it isn't exactly hard to do, actually what Finch did was just out of luck, anyone could of done it...

Phisher = Fake Login to you dumb ones out their.
