We all know HD-DVD has pretty much died... after Toshiba confirming that they will not make anymore Hardware supporting HD-DVD.

Do you think Microsoft could consider an add-on USB Blue-ray drive to Xbox 360?

Personally i think they will. But not anytime soon. Considering Microsoft has been anti-blu-ray since the technology
was created by Sony.

Some evidence that it could happen:

Edit: I should of posted this in Technology Discussion sorry.

Can't see it happening until Blu ray players get cheaper.

They should have just put the HD-DVD in the 360 to begin with.

No, because the launch price would of been higher.

Exactly, it would of been doing exactly what Sony did and force you to buy something you might not need

Yeah, but it probably would have given them a lot more sales in the end + HD-DVD wouldn't be dead.

You maybe aware some new television's can do 'HD' (High definition), there is more pixel's in the screen so the things you watch on it are in better quality. DVDs do not support HD and you'd see a DVD on a HD TV like you would on a standard TV. So there was a race to create a DVD style disc that would support HD. Toshiba & Microsoft founded HD-DVD, and Sony & Philip's created Blu-ray. HD-DVD is now dead, and Blu-ray is on the increase due to larger demand for HD Television's.

Who created Blue-Ray? Well, who first started producing them :pSony & Philip's created 'Blu-ray' technology, but anyone can create or use it. Sony & Philip's are the big backers obviously and incorporate in lots of their products.
