The main reason for this was because of WW2, and it was the effects of the war which led to the downfall of the Tsar.


Military failures

Heavy defeats and the huge numbers of Russians killed led to disillusionment and anger about the way the Tsar and the government were conducting the war
The Tsar went to the frontline in 1915, so was therefore personally blamed for all defeatsRole of Tsarina and Rasputing


The Tsar left his wife and the monk Rasputing in charge who made a mess of governemnt
Tsarina, Rasputing and Tsar were all ridiculed because of this. Rumours curculated that the Tsarina and Rasputing were having an affair
Army unhappy with Tsar leadership, and many wouldn't defend him
Difficult living conditions


Disruption of supplies meant that food, goods and raw materials were short.
Hundreds of factories closed; thousands out of work
Prices and inflation increased
Lack of fuel meant people were cold and hungart
Peasents became angary at a country who didn't appear to care about them, but still sent its men to the front lineFailure to make political reform


Tsar refused to slipinto a constitutional monarchy were pressure would of been taken off him, however he remained autocracy.
All of this led to angry people, which led to marches etc. In some cases, regiments open fired on crowds on the Tsar's orders. Eventually, even the soldiers began protesting, and the Tsar's support was dramatically decreaing. On 2nd March 1917, the Tsar abdicates in favour for his brother. However his brother does not want to job, and also abdicates, which signifies the end to Tsarist rule.

Tsarism fell because of poor economic and living situations, a new idea called Communism was led by a small group with Vladimir Lenin at it's head. They sieged the Winter Palace and Communism was establised in Russia. In the while between the Tsar Regime and Communism State being formed a small government was incharge but was taken easily by the Bosikechs (wrong spelling)
