i just got their album that just came out, and it's bangin'. they're so fun and happy, i really like their sound. it's like a mix of broken social scene and the unicorns. i'd really recommend it. that makes two very solid debut albums for me this year.

i think they really deserve a lot more attention.

the most well known band they're opening for is the go! team, and they're not that well known, haha. this is their first real tour that just started, their debut album came out less than a week ago. they've been getting massive attention in the american indie scene in the past year, they're bound to go somewhere i think.

its their longest song, and probably one of their stranger. "death to los campesinos!" is the most accessible song, so i'd suggest that one.

This band will be lucky if they made it to a second album and if they do they they defiantly won't make it to a 3rd because lets put it this way , the novelty of this band will wear off soon.

LOL@ your incorrect assumptions. nate mendel had little to nothing to do with emo as we know it today. just because he was in sunny day real estate (a pioneer of emo, yes, and as a whole way better than foo fighters) doesn't mean he invented it. there were two fronters of sunny day real estate that defined their sound, and nate mendel was not one of them.

they're basically all i play at the moment.
their album isn't one of those that i like straight away tho, which is a shame.
but i can tell it'll be a grower and it really is growing on me so yeah :)
