I see what you mean if you compare some of their early work to Black Parade.

i like some of the black parade. dead!, sleep and cancer are probably my favourite. when they played sleep+cancer live, it was amazing. everyone was singing and the atmosphere was so intense.
however, i much prefer three cheers. the songs he wrote while he was addicted to drugs are probably the best he has written

I agree, they were good until they released The black parade and got to top of the charts, which made their music overrated & they really got rubbish when all the chavs in my school started playing it and when my sisters started singing it. sell outs.

I liked their first album but then when they released black parade it was completly different. I understand that bands change to apeal to more fans and i think its worked for them, i just know allot of people who have grown to hate them because its such a drastic change.

I entirely disagree, their old stuff is more like "hardcore" bands and 1) I don't like much of that sort of thing anyway and 2) they weren't any good at that :S people just say "I like their old stuff" because it's cool to like a band's old music and then call them sellouts when they actually make a good song. I only like 8 of their songs myself (I know because I downloaded loads and deleted most :P) and 4 are off WTTBP and 4 off TCFSR, their most recent albums I think.

Are you one of those people who listen to Welcome to the black parade and then totally bum them. Because if you've listened to there past albums you wouldnt classify TBP as there best. Although different people like different stuff so heh

I like PATD, they didn't change to suit how famous they were. MCR started out as rock but then changed to pop so they could go mainstream. PATD started out pop/rock and stayed that way.

Some people may like the type of music on The Black Parade compared to the older albums, I know a few people who feel the same way. It's just peoples opinions at the end of the day and some prefer the newer and some the older, I myself like a mix of the 3 albums.
