View Full Version : Xbox 360 price cuts in europe - Arcade version now cheaper than the Wii!

The xbox 360 has had major price cuts in europe.
Elite is now the price of the old premium cost.
The premium is now at the old arcade cost.
The arcade version is now the cheapest next-gen console on offer (cheaper than the Wii!).The Arcade pack will have a recommended retail price of £159.99 (down from £199.99), the Premium pack will be £199.99 (down from £259.99), and the Elite £259.99 (down from £299.99).
Sounds like the competition is heating up!

Its always the case with technology. Buy today, its cheaper tomorrow and theres a better version the day after. If you keep holding out, you'll just miss on the fun ;).
I bought my 360 last summer. After buying one, they announced all premium versions will have the hdmi port. I was quite annoying but got over it lol.

It's price has been cutted in Europe. If it was happening in a year or so it wouldn't of been posted :)

At the time when you posted, no it didn't but still you told me to read the full post. Which I had already done. I then edited a few minutes later. (1 minute after your reply stating about me finding the date).

You started the argument because I told you to read the post properly then you found a date on Google and tried to act smart about it. You're trying to hard, stop please :D
What people could do is try sell an elite online for it's current retail price (maybe £10-20 less) then buy a PS3, when the price drops buy another elite xD

BUT i might buy a 360 now that the prices are lowered...:S
Btw i know that 360's have better games and stuff thats only because Sony was awsome enough to come up with a new disc format (blue ray disc:eusa_danc)
Also, Sony was stupid enough to make them £499.00 (which has been lowered to £399)
but if you ask a random teenager for £399 they would probably reply:
"Yo, Sorry man...but like.... i dont have £399....*Stares into thin air*

I got my xbox 360 arcade for £150 in January when gamestation had offers on them all, still cheaper than now :D

Why would you need 2 consoles :P? Unless you want the ps3 for bluray (thats if you have enough money to by bluray movies that cost double dvd movies) and a high def tv then don't bother :P.

I'd say 23x more.
Can you burn to blu-ray?
I wouldn't want all 3. Maybe 360 and a Wii, simply because they're so different. Wouldn't be able to afford games for all 3 for a start.
