You have to kill the ones you're assigned to.

When you kill the ones you're assigned to on a task you get exp. And to find out how much slayer exp you will get times the amount you need to kill by the monsters HP level :)

i think u only need to do half damage of the monster ur assigned so really you only need to kill half of them.

Really because on several occasion i remeber killing a slayer monster which had like 10 hp (other player did not finish them off) and i got the xp for it...
