This is just one of them silly things, a man slipped on a grape in Marks & Spencer's, claims it is effecting his profession (Accountant) and his social life, £300,000 just lol, however stupid it is, I think him and his lawyer are pretty damn clever for getting it so far, at this rate they could be pretty damn rich too :P

M&S are appealing unsurprisingly though.

M&S won't lose, they'll pay him off with a few thousand quid at the most. They'll sue him for wasting their time or loss of business or something stupid like that, the big company's never lose.

This is what annoys me... he falls over a 'grape', that's pretty hard in a car park seeing as grapes are small and would just splatter not cause you to fall over. >_>

I hope he loses.

Exactly what I was thinking off , There's an overflow of crooked lawyers so they're coming here?

As said in my other post what kind of idiot falls over a grape? (The questions answers itself)

It's his fall for being silly enough to fall over a grape , what's the UK coming too.I've heard people do things like that on purpose and blame it on the stupidest things (like in this situation) and probably live off the money they get for it.

M&S appealed and won today, common sense won it I guess. The judge summed it up rather well 'Not enough evidence and could happen to anyone'

The man is now going to have to pay £15,000 to M&S now and another £5,000 in costs!

Serves him right , he should also pay for the grape that was stuck on his shoe as he left the store with it without paying for it:rolleyes:

He was representing himself according to that first story, no clever lawyer ;). I like this part though;

Mr Martin-Sklan has to pay around £15,000 towards Marks and Spencer's costs and given 28 days to pay an interim sum of £7,500.

Im happy M&S won, because a kid of put the grape there, so why blame M&S? It can happen to anyone and it might be his own fault for now wearing suitable footwear. Well done M&S for winning :P

What an incredible story, I'm amazed it went on as long as it did. The lengths some people will go to just to get an easy ride in life. Totally pathetic.

Glad with the outcome of it, unlucky for him; he saw a quick way to richness then ended up paying out a lot!

LOL

you shouldn't be allowed to sue over something so stupid in my opinion
