anyway, it depends on how much you're willing to spend and what you want to play. i personally have a stratocaster (durrr) and its great.

If you were going purely off looks then "ESP LTD Alexi600 Alexi Laiho Signature Electric Guitar" would be good, but it looks hard to play and it's quite expensive:

actually, electric guitars are easier to play. you're supposed to start out on acoustic to strengthen your fingers so once you go to electric its way easier.

you can get some cheapo ones for a good price. if you're just starting out, there's nothing wrong with buying a knock off brand before you buy the real (expensive) deal.

my dad got a telecaster copy off ebay for £80 something with lead+amp+case included, that sounds nice.
we also have a red stratocaster copy and a black one. imo, the telecaster sounds a lot nicer.

telecasters are heavenly. not only do they have basically the smoothest sound of any guitar, they're basically the best looking guitars, especially with a solid bright color.

yeh, i love the shape of the telecaster. my dad's is a sunburst type colour. i wanted him to go for the mint green one, but he said that he didnt care what i thought because its his guitar.

sunburst is nice, but you're right, mint green looks bangin'. telecasters can be colors that no other guitar can pull off. i want a sea blue one.

yeh, i love that colour. i cant play guitar for pennies, but if i could id kill to have a telecaster.
