The Met Office is forecasting another spell of stormy weather. Severe westerly gales will hit Northern Ireland on Tuesday evening. The strongest winds will then transfer across Southwest Scotland, Northern England, Wales and Eastern England during Tuesday night and Wednesday. Damaging gusts of 80mph are possible Further updates will appear here.
Looks like the North get to experience what the south experienced yesterday ...

it isn't returning. thats a further one coming from the west. The other one died and went east. And unless it's been round the world in a day which it hasn't then it's a different storm :P

I've just moved house and have a caravan in Selsy, which my family and I are staying it temporarily. Selsy is what has to be the worst affected area in the UK thanks to this storm - and it's this holiday park. I've been on BBC news twice in the last 24 hours. Everything is flooded, it's a complete disaster area. Helicopters, lifeboats, 4x4s splashing through five feet of water, dead fish everywhere, dead worms everywhere as well - such a sight.

The wind has calmed now. It does rain most of the time in Manchester but not all the time we do get some nice blue sky days with the sun shining, just this stupid weather the UK is getting hit by.

not for long, the winds are suppose to calm then about 2am they will pick up reaching 85mph by 3am! It's meant to last 'til about 10am tomorrow when they will slowly die down as the day goes on. Good luck tomorrow morning to all you north-westerns. Hope your school/college/work is closed :P! I hope mine will be!

The storm is hitting the midlands and the north-west tonight and tomorrow. In the last 24 hours the south coast has been hit by it first, and left a disaster area in Selsey, where I am based at the moment - the sea has flooded completely - the water level is five feet high in a lot of places here and is contaminated.

It's very windy here now, me and my brother went outside to see what it is like and it's hard keeping your footing. Quite scary to think that this isn't even the half of it!
