We've had a greatest film of all time thread, and I think that it should be seperate to an all-time favourite film one, because they differ greatly - there is much difference in what you enjoy more than any other film, and what you think is the best made. E.g. the greatest film of all time in my mind is The Shawshank Redemption, but my favourite film is JAWS.

So, I've begun - JAWS. Your favourite film of all time is...

Two brilliant films. Darabont sure knows how to adapt Stephen King. The Mist is also fantastic.

little miss sunshine

there's no comparison

but juno definitely deserves a mention.

Forrest Gump

i don't understand how anyone could possibly dislike forrest gump. it's such an easily lovable film and it's possibly the most effortlessly original of all time.

I have to many films to mention that I love so much, so whenever I get asked this question I usually respond with my favourite film that I've seen recently. Which would be Juno, I have to agree with RedStratocas. Tis awesome.

Kinda unneeded since we have a top 10 thread, but... Lord of the Rings: Return of the King and Reign Over Me are my all time favourites. Every movie mentioned here (http://www.habboxforum.com/showpost.php?p=4512923&postcount=8) are very close seconds though.

Legend. Someone else has seen Iwo Jima on this forum, I'm glad! It's amazing! Third on my top 10. :)

Have you seen it's companion, Flags of Our Fathers? It's good, but not as good as Iwo Jima.

city of god and forrest gump

forrest gump is amazing, i've recently rediscovered it. i watched it when it first came out (when i was about 6) and i saw it again when i was like 13, but both times i didn't think anything of it. you truly have to be older and know what happened in those years to truly see the genius of that movie.

It's hard to choose... either Forrest Gump [beautiful film] or Walk The Line. It's based on Johnny Cash who is one of my favourite artists so that helps, and the acting is incredible, both Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon did their own singing too. This is from Wikipedia:

Phoenix's performance inspired notable film critic Roger Ebert to write, "Knowing Johnny Cash's albums more or less by heart, I closed my eyes to focus on the soundtrack and decided that, yes, that was the voice of Johnny Cash I was listening to. The closing credits make it clear it's Joaquin Phoenix doing the singing, and I was gob-smacked."

I'd say WarGames, it's probably the most thrilling film I've ever watched. It was made like 25 years ago, they're just starting on a sequel now :P
