Hi,

I've noticed this come up a few times around the forum, about how annoying it is when clicking the "New Posts" button, and to see sometimes several threads from the Spam section, Runescape section and other sections in which some users are not interested. For example, someone who doesn't use Runescape and Habbo, it's annoying for them to see threads on the subjects.

I've found that there is a plugin to allow exclusion of forums in the new posts section which users can choose under their Options in User CP

I think this would be a great idea to implement. I know HabboxForum aren't keen on plugins, but I think this would be a great idea! :)

What, so I'm to check around 30 different forums for any interesting posts? No thanks.

If you have that many forums to "check" then just click new posts.

I see no point in this.

I only really use the 'New Post' button, so this could be helpful. :)
Also, for the non-habbo users.

Yeah. It could also help forum mods if they just want a quick look at all new posts in the categories they moderate.

You wouldn't have to use it, would you?
If it did get installed you could just ignore it like the others who may not like the idea.

Of course but there is already several ways to view new posts, why add yet another? Specially when its another plugin which could be a risk.

Who knows!

I actually think it's a really good idea well i'd use it anyway. I hardly ever think any ideas posted in this forum are overally good but I do like this one. :)

Why would such a popular forum use it then? (eg. MacRumors?)

I'm only saying what MAD normally would say. Along with i said there is already several ways to view new posts, why add another? But its down to MAD/Senior MGMT

Well stop trying to be a MAD clone then, we already have one. The only way I know is the New Posts button. I think it would be a handy feature and there would be no harm in adding it, if you don't like the idea you don't have to use it.

It's a good idea this, but it won't bother me if it's not implemented. I've grown used to it now.

As a Super Mod you'd have to have all the forums on New Posts anyway lol.

It's a hack/mod so it's not going to be installed regardless of how helpful it may be ;).
I think the only sites that needs this sort of feature are extremely big ones which get thousands posting at the same time and well kinda is pointless to be used on HxF.

I could finally get rid of the Forum Games, huzzah!

I don't understand why people are saying it's going to be a new feature, surely it will integrate with the "New Posts" we have currently, just excluding the forums we've placed in this section?
Or am I not getting it correctly?

I'd use it. You know to remove the pointless forums that I wouldn't use e.g. ClubTropica

Nick.

Yes, that's right. It would alter the New Post's forum, we wouldn't have two :P Lol.

Just think, it's only a minority of users who like Clubtropica, there are quite a few users who despise of Habbo and Runescape, some people hate pointless posts like Games and Spam. I think it would be a great feature :)
