Snakebites? I just got my first lip piercing yesterday. (First piercing in like 8yrs) I was wondering how long I would probs wait before getting the other side done.

Nah. Not really. They numb it a tad on the outside (just a little) and put some stuff in your mouth which numbs it quite alot. So its just like a little scratch for about 4seconds. The main problem is while you are getting use to it the little sheild on the other end of the bar (inside of your mouth to stop it falling out) gets caught in your teeth if you and careful and yanking that hurts a bit.

Sounds ok! Problem is they wouldn't be able to numb me up because of my asthma. I'm not sure how it would affect it though since I've been given numbing agents before but that's what they told me! :(

Ah. What they gave me screwed my mouth up lol. I couldn't speak properly and starter drooling haha XDDD it made me go all tingly I didn't like it. Tbh it dont hurt that bad anyway. My mate kieron got it done and all he had was ice on it and he got over it once the ball was on so yeah ;p

Yeah it was probably a local anasthetic like you get at the dentist, it's horrible :P!

You obviously got it done at a crap place, since it should never be numbed.

And I used to have snake bites, then I realised how **** they looked and took them out, so now I have horrid scars under my lip from them.
You won't want them forever, so there's no point in scarring your face over some stupid fad. (:

When I had my lip done, it didn't hurt and I didn't get it numbed (never known many people to have theirs numbed). I had it for about a year til it started chipping at my tooth and then I realised how facial piercings are so ugly.

I don't think they numbed it properly, 'cause it didn't FEEL any different.
Probably just said it to stop me from tensing or watever.
Also I don't wear mine anymore, same reason as callum.

Well if you think it looks good then go for it. But it seriously doesn't hurt. Well simple aswell, push straight through and it's done.

You're not supposed to numb things before piercing now, and legally you're supposed to wait a week between face piercings (so the piercing studio near me says), but erm. Whenever.

When i had to have like my face numbed to have teeth stuff done, nothing happened and i have asthma, i didn't know it numbing it was affected by it, if i die, i blame my fat, ginger grotesque dentist :(

Honestly, im suprised places still do it numbed its not exaclty good.

Yes i've got one lip peircing on my left side, had it for two years now and really its a pain in the **** for somethings, but depending on your face it can look good.
