Would it be possible to have more alteration competitions? I used to like it when there was one a month :)

I have looked and noticed that not many people enter but maybe if you could get it advertised and an announcement in the habbo graphics forums it would be boosted.

it seems to me that alot of people here no longer use habbo so maybe you could have some non habbo related comps? they could then be advertised in any related forums as announcements :) The prize could be 1 months vip? maybe a special coloured name? this way once their vip runs out they might buy it again because they like it.

non habbo related comps with prizes of vip and any other non habbo related stuff. just a thought to help you out and we used to use vip as a prize so cant see that being an issue.

also whos the comp manager these days? no idea who to donate to.

We had a discussion with the old manager of competitions name 2hd. and we came to an agreement a while back that alteration competitions will not happen for a while. But thanks for the consideration.

And also that people tend to rip other people's artwork, and complaints about alteration competitions in the past.

I remember when the alt comps used to get alot of entries and I suggested advertising them with forum announcments in the graphics forums. I also suggested offring VIP and other non related habbo stuff as prizes or part of the prize so that people who no longer play could still see a point in entering them. I would imagine 85% or even more dont even bother looking at the comps and i bet 50% of the forum dont know or have forgot they even exist. Just posting a comp is only part of the job as competitions staff and having a strategy of promoting them to the public is a very important thing to do.
You have H0BJ0B here maybe he could get the new comps mentioned on the radio? it would take up a few seconds on air and could bring habbox the new wave of talented pixel artists who have never even attempted an alt before.

There has always been problems with ripping but thats why its better to use your pixel artists to judge :) they have seen most habbo alts and any other ones ripped always get found out. maybe a punishment for people using stolen alts? it always happens on habbo alt comps but they ignore it and let the thieving %£$^$"£^ keep the prizes.

I know Sierk said using vip and other bits as prizes was fine in the past but dont know if he has changed his stance on that. i would suggest a pm to them both if you ask and also point out that it was allowed to be done in the past.
EDIT: giving VIP was stopped because DJ-3000 thought it was to much hassle but it was approved by me and sierk so he was just being lazy and not doing something to help benefit the competitions department

As for a manager I am not suggesting you post announcements to advertise comps now :) these are just ideas for the future which could help you possibly get more entries.

Well pixel artist has to be part of the competition staff to judge the competitions.

As for prizes, I have to get approval from serik in PM about the VIP as a prize
