After a lengthy review, Habbo.net has now decided to request for its official status to be withdrawn on Habbo.co.uk.

In 2005, we were randomly added as an official fansite (as HabboForum.com) -- we never applied to become an official fansite, although it was a great honour for the website.

Three years later, however, we are expected to meet many requirements in order to remain as an official fansite. Unfortunately, many of the requirements in question are not suitable for fansites which consist of discussion forums only, such as Habbo.net; it is clear that the requirements are more suited towards your typical Habbo fansite, such as habbo news websites, and we feel that it's just not practical for us to try and meet their requirements given the nature of this website.

One example is the expectation to update this site every two days with new content, however the required content cannot include forum topics or posts. Given that we're just a forum, it is impossible for us to achieve this without changing the purpose of this website.

We feel that it's only fair on both, Habbo Hotel and ourselves if we request for our official fansite status to be withdrawn. It's clear that we're unable to meet their expectations and we're obviously not the type of fansite that they're looking for.

What does this mean for you? Well official fansites have to abide by stricter rules and must enforce them. When you take into account that our active user base consists of users aged between 16-18, it's obvious that some of these rules are not necessary. You can expect these rules to change once we have been removed as an official fansite.

You may also be interested to hear that we're making plans for some significant changes which should take place in the near future. These will be announced in due course.

Thank you http://www.habbo.net/images/smilies/001_smile.gif

This decision has been agreed upon by all moderators, supervisors and administrators. Habbo.net is honoured to have worked with Habbo on an official basis, however it is time to move on. Our plans should be made available to the public as soon as we finalise them!

Regards,
Karl

Habbox should be official because it has the most visitors/members etc

Isit because they don't meet requirements to Habbo.co.uk the reason they're not official.

Really interested to find out :P

We used to be official but Habbo removed us. Someone will explain why if you ask, I might tomorrow but right now I'm too tired.

Maybe they will become more like Habbox.

Habbo.net is like Habbox apart from less popular.
Lots of members on Habbo.net who don't even play Habbo like this forum.

I may become active over there now.

I thought it was because a hacker put up a fakelogin on the front page.

I've never used HabboForum before, but why has it taken them so long to remove themselves or hae the rules only just changed?

*Removed*

HabboForum, back in 2004 / 2005 was the most popular forum, but I guess because most of the members from then have left, ie PweetyFul, _Olam_ etc, it has lost popularity.

Habbo Forum was way more popular than HxF back in the day. It's removing itself before it gets removed by staff because they can't post new content every 2 days because it's a forum.

Habboxforum was removed as there was a picture of Callie doing something to a goat? or sheep? or something!

And lets face it, any forum is more mature than habboxforum.

Agreed. Lol Habboxforum is the Most popular forum that has ever been made. They havent got back to Offical Status yet so they must be doing something wrong.

Dont think Habbox will get become Offical again. I dont care what anyone what to say. Sulake dont like Habbox as simple as that.

I dont think its to do with th pic but something they must have done for sulake to not like them.

The requirements for habbo fansite's is ridiclous. I could write an essay moaning about it, Habbo UK is the only strictest hotel, North America hardly care about fansite standards and just get them to do fansites, same goes with AU & SG, they're just a bit stricter, not as much as UK
