Not amusing when you have to deal with it. Hopefully one day these erebels will grow up and stop wasting peoples time. ;/

I actually used to be one of the people who did have to deal with it and I learnt with certain people you have to take things more lightly. People like Pleke (W7) are only trying to have a laugh and unless he was blaitently trying to abuse staff I used to let him get on with it and sometimes used to enjoy having a bit of banter with him... these days things are taken far to seriously

Edit: and in that situation he only became abusive because he was kicked for being banned first which I expect was for only swearing.

I agree 100%. Now that you can swear on Habbo, the user should recieve a warning before being kicked. Some staff do this, some staff don't. Unless all the staff stick to the same guidelines then there wouldn't be such problems. Half the people on the ban list don't even know why they're banned anyway and unless they're part of the forum can't actually get it reviewed or discussed .

I mean the swearing rule was taken down earlier today and everyone went crazy and abused it (I'm not bashing Joe or Tim in the following sentance) Maybe if they took the rule down without announceing it people wouldn't have gone crazy and delbratly started to abuse it. They should have just told the staff with rites not to kick people but meh thats my opinion.

Oh, they did take it down? I know MAD said you could swear in there if it's not aimed at someone seeing as you're allowed to on Habbo but Tim didn't want that rule for obvious reasons. I just wish they were consistant and treated everybody the same.

They told the room they were going to take it down for a 'trial period' it lasted about twenty minutes or something because a bunch of people with afros started being abusive towards staff lol..

Immenseman
23-03-2008, 08:39 PM
Lmao, you should be able to swear in there as long as it isn't aimed at another member within the room or a staff member in my opinion but it's up to Joe and Tim seeing as they're the current management team and me and you are way past it :P.

yes, yes of course its up to them and yeah they have their reasons. I actually hate swearing I think it's pointless and only use it when I'm extreamly annoyed or I've hurt myself I just think people should be allowed to express themselfs how they want and if the rest of Habbo allows swearing maybe HxHD should move with the times and allow it to as long as it doesn't become abusive.

Edit: yes but we're old and wise Jake we're the Master Jedi's of HxHD init

Yes, I was too. When HxHD was really popular (DJ-3000s days), it used to happen all the time. Sure you have to take them people with a pinch of salt, but after a while it gets boring continually kicking them, and you sometimes wished these people would find something better to do.

Lol of course you'd think that but evidently they don't :P but like I said things have changed and I personally think the rules need to be relaxed so they don't need to kick people so much because most of the time the only reason why people swear so much is because they know their breaking the rules and they know it's annoying the staff. When Pleke isn't kicked and he's allowed to stay I find he stops acting stupidly, stops swearing and sometimes you can actually have quite a nice converation with him.

Yeah, so well played to the management for that. They have a very strong team put together now and work well with the radio department to ensure the desk is full. They're always on the look out for new trialists which is good because it makes HxHD look so much better when it's full.

exactly the bobba filter is there for a reason if a user comes in and complains about swearing HxHD staff should advise them to switch on the bobba filter that is after all what it's there for.

I thought he was refering to your Habbo name but meh ok lol.

edit: if your at the desk now you'll notice people being kicked for swearing in their conversations... you'll now notice because they've been kicked they've now become abusive if they were left to their conversations they wouldn't have become abusive and the desk wouldn't get so much trouble. =[

On the weekends the desk does get crowded and there is the occasional user who does violate the rules. However, the desk staff handle these situations well, and just recently Tim and Joe have come up with a fantastic new waning system that gives users a second chance.

lol, my rights shouldn't of been removed!! I could deal with it so much faster, lol.

Why did you resign Jake :( :( :( :( !!

Actually, Habbo staff handled the situation today. I must admit, the moderation team of Sulake must have it pretty crazy on the weekends, there was over 8,000 players active today and they handled it with ease. They in my respect handle their duties very well. It's a shame the Hobba team can't be with us, but the moderation team is doing an exceptional job.

I agree 100%. Now that you can swear on Habbo, the user should receive a warning before being kicked. Some staff do this, some staff don't. I agree in the sense that since Sulake has revoked the swearing rules there has been some questioning within the desk as to why users are unable to swear, but I'm thankful that Tim and Joe have decided upon not permitting the users the privilege. There's millions upon millions of words in the English language, surly there are other, more polite words that can be used in a public place such as this. As far as the kicking and banning right away for swearing goes, you're correct when saying there's been no standard for warning/banning users. However just today Joe and Tim have designed a new Warning and Ban system, that's been working fantastically since it's been introduced.

Happy Easter everyone (It's still easter in Canada :P),
