Last.fm is a site. You download a plugin for iTunes/Winamp whatever & it scrobbles/records what you play. It records charts (weekly and overall) for you & they give you recommendations judged on your charts :)

its a nice way to see how your music taste evolves. in my charts, theres a massive mix of 'emo' stuff and indie/new rave from where my music taste has broadened out.
you download the main program, then the plug in for whatever program you use (itunes, winamp, windows media player. it also has plug ins for some lesser known ones). as you play songs, it 'scrobbles' them to your profile, and people can see what you've listened to.
as you listen to more, it starts compiling charts based on your top player artist/album/track over the last week/month/year/lifetime of your account

its really good.quite intresing to look at your own as you can accually see how mutch you like 1 track.I also have a last 10 songs played in my siganture
