New Skins ~ Your Ideas.

Posting this thread on behalf of Habbox Council, I'm trying to find out what you'd want in a new Forum Skin if one was to be made, so try and include as much detail as possible ;). The Council will discuss this and come to a conclusion on what ideas will be put forward.

What would you want in a new forum skin?

Style (Habbo/Non-Habbo - Light/Dark):
Primary Colour:
Secondary Colour(s):
Extra Information:

So if people want to make a contribution, then fill out the short form I made above, and add any additional information that you think is needed, and any extra ideas. Everything will be fed back to the council, so any suggestion is a positive one :). If there is a major split between the forum, the Council could think about making a poll, or putting two ideas forward - this is yet to be decided, so lets see how this goes.

I would like a non-habbo one, really colourful like really, like a rainbow lol. Nothing to do with habbo on it such as the slogan "for all your habbo needs on the banner. It would be cool to get a good banner and background too. The dark non-habbo one is not very nice

The blue one that got posted aaaages ago (which I think was made by you?) should get uploaded in my opinion, but I've bought that up numerous times and no reply whatsoever, I've even mentioned it in the council forums.

Well thats not the one i meant, another one infact i made roughly 3 weeks ago which MAD approved on and liked it too. So thats TWO styles which could be added.

y'know, i never thought that one through. i love the dark non-habbo tbh. Nothing to do with 'for all habbo needs' would be good. Something like 'the teen drop-in' would be pretty nice. ;P

Half the feedback supplied will give me a idea to create new styles for the forum, considering im the main guy to make them either for Habbox or HabboxWorld. So this thread does apply to me.!

If it was just for the council, then it'd be posted in the public "Habbox Council" forum - since it's Habbox Feedback, then everyone should be allowed a say on it, which is what Ben is asking.

In terms of Hollywood, he does content design I believe! :)

I belive Habbox require some 'Habbo' on ALL styles even if its only the Banner as the slogan for Habbox is "For all your habbo needs" (Sp?) so no matter what there will be the banner with the 'habbo' word on :(

HabboxWorld use the new blue skin, I believe.

HabboxWorld do infact use the new Blue Style yeah.

And there is another new style on HabboxWorld to be added shortly soon which does not follow the common mockup either.

(By that i mean the simple gradients change only)

Even though i would love to modifty a style alot to make it orginal to Habbox i cannot as MAD has requirements which are not to modift too much. For updates/changes ect.

They do, but there was talk about it coming here and replacing the current, and I don't think it should be a replacement - I think it should be an adittion.

In my opinion all of HabboxForum (UK)'s skins currently are really bland and boring.. You see other forums that have some pretty amazing skins with good use of imagination and graphics - but that's more up to the graphics staff I guess, but we need the forum members to input ideas.

Matt I think I've seen a few of your skins on other forums and if I do say so myself they've been pretty dan good ;)

The hidden style created for MAD, which will be on here hopefully.
The redesigned Habbox Orginal Style i edited which is less in your face.

Yes, fair enough, Habbox is a Habbo fansite but over the years, I, aswell as a lot of other members, have become bored with Habbo but still thoroughly enjoy Habbox. Now, it's possible to hide the Habbo sections so surely members should have the option, if they want to, to hide the fact that it's a Habbo Forum since some really do not like Habbo anymore. A non-Habbo skin should be just that, "non-Habbo".

The gradients is one thing that I think will make a major difference, is that one of the things ---MAD--- doesn't want? :(

No, MAD likes different gradients like us its more things like moving navbar, editing the postbit more, changing how the forum is displayed he doesnt like. Actually editing templates. ;)

whats wrong with you, work is for children. havent you heard of child labour? ;] i just hate shiny gradients like what you did. a simple white & black, scribblings & such... orange, red, something suttle and warm... ive got a few ideas, shame theyre so hard to translate.

Why can't you make unique forum skins? When the forum goes down for the update/upgrade, modify the skin at the same time. They don't take a long time to change and it's very rare a skin will get mis-shapen after an upgrade. For example, 1.2.1 will change to 1.2.2 quite happily with no issues on the templates, while 1.2.9 to 1.3.0 may have issues. But you do get the odd occasion where an update will change anything at any time. But for a good skin, it's worth closing the forum for a couple of minutes to modify the skin. Just direct Habbox Forum to the website...

I agree and i want a totaly custom style but i think the issue is MAD is unsure on the template edits and who ever made the style(s) would have to edit the styles again.
