Well, saw another thread a moment ago with a proposal I didn't really agree with.

After looking through the Design & Development section of Habbox, there are a few sub-forums that are inactive:

Coding
Programming
These forums are just, not active as mot users would like.

Mr proposal is to merge the Coding and Programming forums, and create one main subforum: Help (or something of the sort), which would include all of the general help for the D&D forums.

The main D&D forum is being cluttered with "Why isn't it working?", "Help me", threads, that get very annoying.

The second thing I see are the moderators for the forum: Hitman (http://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=44300), H0BJ0B (http://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=35703)

Why not get some people to be moderators, that actually *know* (not sure if they do) or are interested in Designing and Development, otherwise they are just the blind leading the blind.

Users that have experience in the Design and Development section should be looked at to be potential/extra moderators in this department, because the mess is getting terrible in the main forum.

Hope at least someone agrees.

Thanks,
Caleb

Everything in that seems sensible, although I don't think the mods necessarily have to have knowledge of the subject to moderate the forum, but having an interest definately helps as it means they will read that forum more and are more likely to come across rulebreakings.

However, finding members with the time, dedication and trustworthyness (for want of better word) is not easy, so that might not happen. Do you think the mods are doing a substandard job? If so, PM Elkaa with examples and I'm sure he'll talk to the mods/rejig the sytem appropriately :)

There are super moderator(s)

E.G: Agesilaus (Now lucasage) was a moderator in that forum, then was promoted to a SM.

I have PMed Elkaa like Alex said (thanks!).

I don't see much activity from the moderators now (that are in that section, I may be wrong though)

Hitman is actually pretty good with PHP and stuff, your "feed back" is a load of rubbish. Didn't you ask questions how to do stuff when you first started out? Yes? Then other people should too. And it's a little pathetic how you're still registering accounts everyday to advertise your site on a Habbo Forum because you know we aren't professionals and won't give harsh CC which you won't be able to take. ;)

And you're dead wrong. Hitman controlled the whole Darren Toogood issue yesterday. Any other untrue stuff you wanna share with us?

Excuse me? I created this thread to get feedback.

I didn't say people couldn't ask questions, it is just flooding up the main forum, when they should be in their appropriate sub-forums.

Excuse me? I don't ask for CC ever ;) I can advertise my site wherever I want, I am not breaking any rules.

Its a little pathetic how you get into other peoples business, when it isn't yours.

Well you're basically getting into Habbox Forums "design" business, so why don't I have a right to give feedback on yours?

A help forum is a good idea :). I also agree with merging web coding and programming together.

I've just made this change.

Also, 2/3 of the new moderators will be based soley in that section, as I know moderation is slightly weak in there at the moment.

I recommend you report the posts in the wrong forum to help the current mods :).

Me and [oli] have both applied to become moderators. I doubt I will get the job though as I haven't been considering a moderator job for some time now, so I haven't been reporting many posts.

Hope at least someone with an interest in web design joins the team.

Me acting like I know it all? Please. You're acting like you have the ego of George Bush

Your feedback is uttercrap, the Forums are fine how it is and you don't have a right to talk about the moderators. If I don't play Habbo I should get to moderate on a Habbo Forum, shouldn't I?

Hey,

I do code and design and I am interested in coding and designing. I've not been designing recently due to having a lot to do (such as moderating).
I don't see how having to know anything about web design is needed for moderating. When I'm on HabboxForum I do moderate most of the time, however due to an extra security precaution (it's somewhat related to emails) mods aren't currently receiving reported posts, so I have to manually go through everything - don't forget there are other forums and subforums in the Technology and the Web forum which need to be attended to.

I've cleaned it up a little atm, whilst trying to deal with bullying and double posting in other forums. It's not an overload of work, I can manage but I can't do 10 things at once. You're saying the mess could be cleaned up, which it is being, from mods that have knowledge in web design, I fail to see how that would make a difference?

Hitman.

Hitman.

Spoke on MSN, didn't mean to make it sound like that, it just seems that the D&D forum is being neglected a little bit with only two forum moderators for such a big section.

I understand that the webhost section takes up a bunch of time, with the recent Darren crap.

The knowledge in web design could be useful, as the moderator would know what forum to put things in, instead of just throwing it into random forums (which has happened before).

The moderator should have a sense of "is this a web design project, or should it stay here.. blabla."

Didn't mean to make it say you are not doing your job, you are a great moderator.

Indeed but we tend to be more active in the sections which have the most rule breakings ;).

Ahh I see.

I think the technology section needs more then just two moderators though, but Elkaa said some will be put there, yay :)
