I have always wondered: Why, when WWE is in the UK, is RAW Live at 1AM? If its in the UK, Then it should be Live at 7 PM.

Because WWE is mainly American ie like Chelsea is to money .
And they get more live viewers in usa than england.

Because they stick with USA times ;) They want the majority (USA viewers) to be able to see it prime time, and not during the working day (2PM)

Not really, if you are used to USA time, and you visit most places, it is still going to feel the same time as if you were in your original country.

I suppose its for the wrestlers time plans, So they stay in that and able to train at the correct time.

From what I know the live shows aren't actually live. Friday Night Smackdown is filmed on a Thursday and Raw on a sunday apart from after PPVs when it is genuinely Live (as PPVs are) on the Monday :)

I think that RAW is live. I don't think they can say it is Live if it isn't.

yeah they must just film live and 1AM, as answered by Dentafrice. They need to make sure they keep their US viewers.

lol, Raw is filmed on Monday nights and is live in the USA. Smackdown and ECW are filmed on Tuesdays (with ECW being live) and Smackdown being aired on Fridays.

When WWE is in the UK the shows start at 7pm or 7;30pm and are taped. They don't actually have 7000 (or w/e) people in the arena untill 3am :P.

So basically, 99% of the time, Raw isn't live.

Yes, when WWE is in the UK for a televised RAW, it is taped, edited, and aired a few hours later.

The UK shows never really AIR live. And yes it's false advertising, they've been doing it for years with Smackdown. Then at one point when Angle won the title they told people before Smackdown even aired that he had won it, which was pretty funny. A lot of Smackdown's commentary is later altered too.

When i went to smackdown 6 months back, it was at 7p.m till about 10, then when i got back i watched it ''live'' on tv when it wasn't actually live. So yeh, when it's on at 1a.m ''live'' in U.K it isn't actually live.. confusing i know. =]
