they look alright but they could have done better. the ten pence, for example, will look crap on its own. also, where's the £2 coin?

they look alright together, but when you take them apart its gonna be like, what?!
nice gimmick, but money shouldn't be a gimmick tbf.

Prefer the old ones, and I dont understand why theres an irish harp on one or two of them seeing as they are independant now..
And when are these coming into circulation?
they arnt doing the £2 as it was already designed in 1997 - they thought it was to recent to redesign it again.

Yes northern ireland uses it, and the republic used to use the Irish pound which was around 70 irish pence to a british pound.

Remember they recently released those new £20 notes, well within 2 weeks all the £20 notes in the house were the new ones and they were all in shops

They have been planning this since 2005 http://www.guardian.co.uk/money/2005/aug/18/arts.artsnews
they are being released in the next few months, and the old coins will stay in circulation with them
And here's a better picture of them:

I don't really like the design that much, doens't really make much sense. It would easily confuse you as I'm used to the destinctive old ones.
