Ever since Blu-ray won the next-generation DVD battle it was speculated Xbox 360 would release a Blu-ray accessory similar to the HD-DVD one which failed.
However they've now confirmed they have no intention what-so-ever of doing that and want to continue digital-delivery movies which is selling movies in HD and in standard format over the Marketplace.
The article also explains why HD-DVD was never bundled with the Xbox 360 in the first place, interesting stuff...
