View Full Version : I'm losing interest in school...
Well, recently I've noticed that school doesent really intrest me anymore.
I have no problems getting good grades, it's just that i find it pointless for some unknown reason..
I got 2 more years of high school and then I'm done.. THANKGOD.

Maybe you need to see school in a new prespective?
Try doing something different.
Maybe going into school happy and having a really good day etc.

thats how most people feel, when you say to parents etc that you dont like school they are like "BLAHBLAH its the best days of ya life" ... but it isnt.. just over a year left for me and i thought at one point, "i cant wait to leave" but now its like, i wont see most of the people who i talk to at school (the nice ones, obv) because i dont see them out of school..
if im correct, you're in year 9?
year 10 is better because you get to pick yr options, pick good ones or you'll spend the next two years regretting every minute

exactly my opinion

I know how you feel. I did like school but now, I just think of things like most adults are less intelligent than us (look at the show Are you smarter than a 10 year old for example), and I think, adults make money and they're not that intelligent.
But, on the other hand, if you want to become a solicitor/barrister (like me), or a job that requires a particular skill, then it is important. Also if you want to migrate when your older (like me) then education will play a part in getting that visa to move there.

Buy firecrackers, steal the year 9's football, piss off teachers, run around in a big group at lunch through the cafeteria *TEXT REMOVED*... just mess around at break, lunch and if you have any lessons which are not important eg (Social Education) mess around in that...
It means that you look forward to those parts of the day so you go into school yeah? It's funny... but you still work in lessons you need init. :8

Just keep on trying, it won't be long till your GCSEs are over and it will be worth it in the long run.
I've recently been starting to feel the same way about school myself.
If I beleived that 'best days of your life' crap then I wouldn't bother revising, and would probably **** up the rest of my life, so just ignore that stuff.

I see you belong to nobville then.
You don't have to act like an idiot to have fun in school.
Just have a laugh with your mates when you can but remember to work when you need to as well. :)

well, I really would like to dropout, but as soon as i mention it i get the same response over and over again: You wont get a good job..

Thanks for replies.

look at the show Are you smarter than a 10 year old for example.
thats the worst example ever. shows like that are stretched to the highest degree, and they attempt to get the stupidest people they can. it's like that news network that showed how many americans are bad at geography. they interviewed hundreds of people, but they only showed the ones that were horrendously wrong. it's all manipulated.
anyway, i get like that. as you go on, you'll question what teachers do a lot more. but just go with the flow and find something that you like.

I lost interest in school when I was 15 and cos of that I didnt revise for my big exams and got rubbish results and ended up leaving school at 16. So if I were you I would try to stay focused, and make sure you get decent marks :D
