After 9 years of the old simulator from 2000 microsoft are bringing out a new version next year. I'm sure it'l be great as they've had a long time to work on it.

Some of what the detailed scenery will look like:

A flight simular, yes. But a train simulator? That has got to be nothing but boring and for... train enthusiasts.

It's actually quite entertaining if you do missions and stuff.

missions?
What missions could you do on a train.. You just drive from one place to another.

I tried to play the original, and tbh it was quite fun. The only let down on it was the sounds and they just really annoyed me. I think it will be quite fun :)

It may seem a bit boring but it's good to have the knowledge and plus you have gotta admit the scenery looks great compared to fsx.

I'm looking forward to recieving this rep DJ :P

Sorry stutoman I forgot, will do it now.

Missions, for example you have to get a pregnant woman to the nearest hospital without exceeding comfort zones.

That question is liek saying what missions can you do in fsx all you do is fly from place to place.

Adding to what he said,

You could control all the trains and keep to schedual. Mabe deal with a large delay or train faults.

Or line faults, I think there was one where you had to make up your own diversion.

People may say it looks boring, but if you haven't had a go then you wouldn't know.

I find train simulator very good as well as the addons you can get for it like the East Coast Main Line.

Yeah, it has a whole community like Flight simulator, wonder if it will be online.

I think it would be great if you could be a passenger or a person working at a station like the eurostar terminal instead of just being a driver. I hope the really small railway where I was staying in germany will be on there, I really love that one.

Those renders don't look as nice as Crysis' renders of real images.

I played Train Sim once, it was alright :P

I used to play train sim a few years back, it was good. When you go too fast the train comes off the rails and crashes (not like filight sim where it just says "Youve crashed!" and you dont see the crash)
