No they haven't. None of them have appeared in the catalogue on purpose. If that's how you feel, the majority of the supers need adding to normals because they were released along with the throne, samover and holopad back in 2004 by accident.

They have been released on purpose to meet sales targets and then its said it was accidental to stop the uproar from ppl crying over the value decreasing. The scripters used to make thrones, dinos and anything else at what stage and they never got deleted. we got 1 gift and it was one of the 3 mentioned and i think you had to have visited the hotel 2 weeks or less before they were given out to get one.
when the hackers took our accounts using staff acounts we all got a refund and habbo gave us all 100 thrones extra to keep us happy to make up for the mess up.

So what question are you reading? I read it was asking us to vote in a poll giving our opinion on where these 3 rares should be, therefore asking for our opinion? Where does it actually say it's a discussion about whether Habbox will make a change?

It's all related to Dan in my opinion, back when he was the rare values manager and he campaigned for the three to be moved to Supers. 8freak8 and Sierk fired him for it and said he'd been 'fixing values'.

Incorrect. A super rare is classed so because it's never been purposely released into the catalogue. It has nothing to do with demand.

Simply because there is no need for change. The word majority is used again, I can't remeber 4-6 thousand people protesting on habbo at any one time.

I put Super rares because they were never released and as it's Habbox values and on Habbox's pages, it says "Normal rares are rares that have been released into the catalogue for a limited time". Ione's gifts were not. So that's what my decision is based on. Also it says Super Rares were given out in comps/events etc. Ione's birthday was an event.

I think they're high-up normal rares. They're not in short demand, they're not un-common and they're certainly not high priced.

If anything the Habbox definition needs to change to the dictionary version of 'rare.'

- not widely distributed

The last definition is important. They're given out like cakes at a sale, they are very common. Of course, the defintion of super rare, as far as a dic is involved, doesn't exist, so you have to make a normal rare a little bit relaxed meaning wise. But if you want to go into a deep, meaningful debate about, you would find thrones, samovars and holo-pods are normal rares.

It's just a matter of Habbox needing to change their definition to something a bit more obvious.

A super rare is something a little bit tricker to become, they must not be given out as much as any other item of furniture. Although trophies etc have been given out quite alot, they're not as common as the throne, samovar or holo-pod.

When I was talking with sierk in March 2007 we did discuss that idea. The problem is, people will moan that certain rares should be in supers and certain supers should be in normals. We'd have normals and super rares swapping all the time due to different amounts being avalible at certain times.

Although I agree, I think Habbox should now decide to either; stick to it's current definition and move the ione Gifts into super rares OR change their definition based on rareity which would mean items like Strobe Solariums going into super rares. :)

I agree on the definitions, the samovar is out there in thousands and I've never paid more than 1HC for one, even though it's worth 1.25 today. They aren't difficult to get your hands on purely because of the large quantities available on the Hotel. If you compare the red or blue birdbaths which have never been released this clearly shows it's far more rare, which is how I classify something to be a super, an item which is more difficult to obtain, I use my own guide on this subject ;)

Don't forget the Green Pillow.

I don't agree with the Aloe Vera since it sold better than the Grey Birdbath. It was in the catalogue for two weeks so to move it into supers would be a bad move because every few years, as older rares go out of circulation, normals would have to be moved to supers.

Green Pillows and the Yellow Solariums should be moved to supers (if we get this new definition) because they were in the catalogue for < 10 minutes, staff didn't announce it until they had left the catalogue and there are VERY few of them in circulation.

super rare by definition means they are very rare, it had nothing to do with how they got in the hotel

there are more thrones than some normal rares, and countless samovars and holos

how exactly do you know what habbo think? people on habbox do this alot! its all speculation, none of you actually know how they class furni

The way Funky Friday's are worded sometimes indicates. Infact I think the ione Gifts promise that waas removed actually said 'super' in it.

Removing it has nothing to do with them not being Super Rares. It was removed either because they are planned to come out eventually or because the site was revamped. To Habbo Hotel Dragon Eggs', Thrones', Russian Samovars' & so on are super rares because when there is a quest it's normally 'win this super rare blue bird bath'. :)

In that case, the Grey birdbath needs to be made super since it's harder to come by than the Red and Blue whilst they need to be moved into normals. Dragon eggs, lazers etc should all be moved into normals too because they're easy to come by.

They are Super Rares by his, and many other peoples definition. They were never released purposely into the catalogue.

I have my definitions and here they are;

Normal Rare ~ Been released on purpose in 'Rares'.
Super Rare ~ Never been released/Been released by 'mistake'.
Seasonal Rare ~ Appears in the catalogue frequently.
Miscellaneous Rare ~ Removed from the catalogue/Doesn't fit anywhere else.


Yellow Solarium > Super Rares.
Dragon Egg > Normal Rares.
Red/Black/Gold Laser Gates > Normal Rares.
Blue & Red Birdbaths > Normal Rares.
Aloe Vera > Super Rares.
Grey Share Bear > Normal Rares.

They would be the rares to move, they are all fairly common/rare for their current sections.

Surely with those changes you agree the throne should be a normal rare? That's been accidentally released twice, once with other rares, and again with other rares but there were more boxes to buy them that did the same thing.

I still stick to the common definition of rare, and a super rare is something like a normal rare, but rarer.

this is the most idiotic post iv read all week! its not up to us? of course it is! value reporters in theory dont make up values, they take everyones opinion in to account

the same applies here, i think habbox should stop labeling rares in to different categories because theres always going to be people who disagree

I do agree the Throne would be a normal rare then, but moving three rares will cause much less hassle than moving 10+ :P. I think the current definition is fine, but just needs fixing.

It was discussed by my department the majority of it agreed with me as did the majority of the public. This isn't really even anything to do with Habbox's definition, it's just where people are discussing the classifacation of rares. :S

It has nothing to do with the Rare value staff all there job is to provide the average trades found by themselves on habbo. they do or do not decide what a rare is catagorised as (hence why this is nothing to do with ANY RV site.).

I think if anything is going to be done.. habbox should ask the habbo public first as the whole RVR is for the habbo public.

Just changing something without infroming the public isnt well that proffesional.. even if it still is Habbox.

To be honest, they won't be changing anything, other than a definition which only makes it known why the throne, holo-pod, samovar etc are normal rares and not super rares. If people moan, it's only because they have nothing better to do "/

At the end of the day they are all rares, rares that can be found quite easily as they are out there in thousands. Is it that important which category they fall into? Surely it's more about the value and their definition, and if they were made super rares, I still wouldn't pay more than around 1HC for a samovar or 1. whatever for a holopod. I think Habbox has the best guide, it's easy to look at and has the best reputation, staff work hard to get it right :)
