Just wondering, if your aged 16-18 do your parents/parent make you pay rent/board money.

This is if your working, maybe going to school.

Just wanna get a rough idea on how many teens that age do actually pay.

Thanks.

When I get a full-time job I have to start paying, however I plan to be long gone from home by the time I get a full-time job.

I'm 17, in Sixth Form College with a part-time job, and I don't pay rent. My parents say that as long as I live with them, I live free.

Im 18 and live with my auntie. When i was working i paied £40 a week but cos i bin ill recently and not been working i havnt been paying but im starting a new job end of the month hopefully and il start paying again :)
I choose to pay rent, her and my uncle dont push me for it. Shes naughty, usually when i pay rent shel then buy me a new pair of jeans or shoes or something. Lol! I buy my own food mostly (snacks and drinks and shiz, she usually cooks me a meal)
Think i got it pretty easy now!

It depends if I carry on going to sixth form and college.

If I do carry on I don't have to pay.
If I don't carry on and get a job I have to pay something like 1/3 and that goes to food/water/rent etc.
The rest of the money would then go on whatever I want.

I'm carrying on with school though so whatever money I get is just for me. :D

Well I probably wouldn't have to pay unless I was working full time but if I went into full time work then I would just move out. When I go uni in sept I will be paying around £600 a month for my accommodation.
