Well I went into to tesco to see if you can pre order in store, and the woman was so helpful (Didn't even check on the computer) and said if it hasn't come out yet, it wont be on the system. Which if there taking pre orders, im sure it will.

Well, I checked online and GTA was £39.97, and in the shop, my mum picked up a tesco direct book. In this book, GTA for PS3 is £29.71.

So whats the real price? I guess because it says £29.71 in the book, they will still have to sell it at that price even if its wrong.

Tescos can be very good for deals, so it maybe correct for a launch date title. But after that it will creep up to the average price.

For Xbox it says its £39, and all the other PS3 games are that price.. except GTA :S

If it says 29.99 then they have to sell it for that price. Take the book and say that it says 29.99 andget it forthat price. Its the law so they have to :)

Currys is selling at 38 if u wanted to know

Trust me they have to sell at whatever the price they have advertised. I learnt about it in yr 11. Can't temember what the law was though

No, they do. You have to sell a product at it's labelled price. It's part of my job role at Tesco correcting labels so the shelf/catalogue price matches the product price.

And the computer systems at Tesco only tell you what the store has in stock, so unless they have the empty pre-order case on the shelf (price included) they can't check it on the system.

From the thread title I thought they were going to put Tesco in GTA so we could blow it up, I'm a bit disappointed now :(

Thats rather crap , although what if I buy it and they charge me 1p for it then it comes?

They surely cant rise up a price out of nowhere

They do not have to sell you it at the labelled price, unless it is not changed within 24 hours of request.
