Hi, latley I've been going to bed at around 2-4am and waking up at around 1-2pm still tired? I have slept for about 12 hours but I still seem really tired, I haven't been using more energy than usual.
Is there a reason for this?

Go bed earlier. And you probably drink loads of stuff that make you tired during the day.

When I go to bed any earlier I can't get to sleep.

If going to bed at these times is out of the ordinary then it's probably just your body clock getting confused. I've been going to bed at these times recently because of the school holidays - I've only just got up! :$

Sometimes it can be to do with what you eat and also what you are doing before you go to bed. If you watch TV, go on the computer and don't "wind-down" if you like it can affect your sleep, even though you may sleep you might be moving around a lot and your mind may be over working.

Yeh, drinking or eating foods that may limit your energy when awake isn't recommended.
Don't eat any carbonhydrates after 5pm because your body turns it into sugar after 5pm.
When you sleep your body doesn't feed on your food. It makes chemicals that make you feel full. So when your awake all that you ate the day before would kick in and limit your energy due to it having to break it down, wearing you out.

Don't drink stuff like redbull or sprite before going to sleep.

It's because you are on an unhealthy sleeping schedule, you need to go to bed earlier and start waking up earlier. You can't stay up till 2-4 AM each night and then wake up at 1 PM in the afternoon! Thats like an American time schedule lol! Just kidding, try adjusting your diet some and as Jess said wind-down before you go to bed. Every night before I go to bed, I watch TV and wait till I can't my eyes open. Then I go to bed. I usually go to bed during the week at like 9-9:30 PM but that's only because I have to wake up at the butt crack of dawn for school. But on the weekends I stay up late :P
this happens to me every holiday, Basically, go to bed at 2-4 am but set your alarm for 8 O clock, then the following evening go to bed at 11 wach tv for an hour or read, tires out your eyes, set your alarm for half 7, then go to sleep at 12. if you wake up earlier, you'll find it easier to sleep the following night.

I'm the same. These holidays I've been going to bed at like 5-7am and getting up at 3-5pm in the afternoon. I'm at school next week and to get back into a proper sleeping pattern, I'm going to bed at like 6am and then my mums getting me up at 10am tomorrow morning. Hopefully, I'll be shattered tomorrow night and I'll be able to get a good nights sleep!
