I've played clarinet for 6 years now and got to Grade 5 and recently been interested in learning the drums.

Does anyone have any advice?
Will it be hard or easy for me to learn with having music experience?
What's the average price for the half hour/hour?
Is it best to go to a private teacher or go to a company?

I just thought it would be an extremely good instrument to learn as I've also picked Performing Arts in school and lately we put a band together and it would be good if I could play drums and also there is only one decent drummer in our school.
Also with playing classical music for 6 years I want to learn something new and different.

So any experienced drummers out there willing to give me advice?

I'll teach you. Right, where you live? Jokes. Yeh, Drumming couldnt be any easier. I whould recommend you to spend atleast half/hour practising. Also, when ever you not near a drum, try doing air drumming. :)

It's usally 15-20 quid for an hour if you get them privately, which i find most affective.

Drums are a good instrument to learn as they help you with eye-hand coordination as well as getting seperate hands to do seperate tasks :D
