The pixel artist badge thingy

Ok, its really stupid anybody can get a pixel artist badge, because EVERYONE has it, even if they posted one mediocre alt they made, or a really bad one. Maybe they should only give them to pixel artists, and not just people that decide they want to be a pixel artist, but never post any work.

i agree actually, i thought i was a stupid idea when it was introduced. the fact that anyone can use it is stupid. i think it should actually be a group where you have to invited to before you can use the badge. im sure it's simple to do, its just like VIP, but obviously without all the privileges, and a different badge.
of course tho, if it even involves something other than enforcing stupid polls on us, MAD won't bother to do it because it'll be to hard. *points at the ipod skin thread*.

The pixel artist badge doesn't actually mean anything, You only join the group to see into the pixel arts forum where they can discuss alts and do group collaboration's but I doubt most people actually join for that and just join for the sakes of having an userbar.
There's nothing we can really do as if we limit the people who can join then the who section may just die out with no one posting within that section?

Well I agree with Sabbath, the group should stay but the badge should be tooken away. Everyone has them, and it is really quite irritating to have everyone have one, who made like one recolour or something.

i didnt even realise you needed it to view the forum, it never used to be like that did it?
i can see why its a good idea, but i think a proper pixel art group would be better. if we have one forum that we can all see, where people can posts alts, then if they are good enough to be invited to the group, they can have their own forum and stuff like that.

I agree with the above. I joined it when it was first released because, like everyone, I wanted to have the userbar under my name.

The only thing I've ever done in that forum is look at the group collaberations, I don't think I've even posted in it :S

So yeh, people like me should be kicked out ;)

I joined to post my work but I've moved on from pixel art to video editing now. I like to comment in the graphics sections.

There should be the "elite pixel artists" people with at least one piece of work in the elites section, either on the main site or the forums.

I think the badge should be removed then the mods select who to give it to.

I don't see the point in the badge really. Keep the group how it is, so anyone can join it but remove the badge 'cos its pointless and people just join to get that.

I like the nominate elites forum though. Didn't know that was there, makes it easier for me to find new elite alts to put on site. :P

I really like the idea of there being a Group Editor for Habbox who deals with groups e.g. Flight Sim. group, Pixel Artist group. Basically, any groups that need a private group to function well. Obviously there shouldn't be alot, but if it's requested it could be looked into. All I know is that the Flight Sim. fans have a small group of elite pilots which could work happier in a group. The Pixel Artist group is kinda pointless now, no one really uses it.
