Main steam manga is the best manga around. Bleach, Death Note, Claymore, Guyver... oh yes.

Reading Guyver volume 10 now, finally past the anime.

Well thats because Naruto... isn't very good. I do read manga that wouldn't be classed as mainsteam (FLCL, NOiSE and Blame! to name a few) but I prefer mainstream. A bunch of people read mainstream, so you can discuss it with a lot of different people, mainstream stuff is longer and I think you just get more out of it. :P

shojo is longer than mainstream rozen maiden has been running nearly 10 years

Neversoft

I'd class Rozen Maiden as mainstream. It's only been running for 6 years though.

Guyver has been running for 23 years. :8

rozen maiden is not mainstream because its manga has onlnly just been issued into books for the past 6 years it has beein in Monthly Comic Birz magazine only untill Weekly Young Jump took it into their magazine it was made into a indeviduall manga book

Sad novel based on a true story of a child brainwashed by his own parents, and his trail in life of overcoming death and destruction mind body and soul.

AMAZING.

ok i just wanna get one thing straight with yall

Non-Mainstream means anime/manga that aren't very popular amongst many but are still good enough that you'll love them even if there's little to no merchandise for them anywhere.
unlike naruto bleach DBZ or anything shoehn rozen maiden is not that popular although i fail to see why also shojo Beat has admited that they do not want any of their anime/manga to be mainstream ok glad we had this chat

i started reading the SGT frog series its really random but really funny somone should pick up a copy some time

Rozen Maiden has two manga series and two anime adaptions, one with two seasons, plus I've already said that it was ranked 9th on TV Asahi's Top 100 Anime poll. It's pretty popular, wouldn't you say? It's mainstream.

You've contradicted yourself there dear!

You said if it's famous among fans, it is mainstream.
Stop trying to look as if you know it all. You don't.

Lucky Star has a manga, an anime, three games, a light novel, an OVA and is currently being released on DVD. I'd say it's pretty mainstream, but not as mainstream as Naruto or Bleach. Mainstream could mean a lot of things, but it's basically something popular and known to the majority.

I am currently reading "Breaking Dawn" by Stephenie Meyer. It is the fourth installment of the Twilight Series, and so far I am not far enough into the book to judge if I'm going to like this one or not.

However, I will say that if you are looking for a good fictional read, that Twilight could most definitely appeal to you. I don't often read fiction, however the Twilight series has been quite enthralling.
