Sony Vegas is as good as you'll get in my opinion.

I'm sure you can change the interface to your needs?

Camtasia Editor is pretty good. I used it for a while.

Same as above, sony vegas' interface is not hard to learn at all. Most professional video editors will follow the same layout.

Camtasia Editor is pretty good. I used it for a while.Camtasia is just good for recording the screen and sound and converting files but beyond that it's just a advanced version of windows movie maker.

After effects, is, more 3d editing, etc.

Not for, AMVs, for example.

Premiere, & Vegas work well for that.

I have Windows, I dont think Final Cut works on Windows, I have Vegas 8 and it's quite good but it's hard getting used to and confusing

Personally, I would say it's worth putting in the time to learn after effects - it's one helluva powerful program.

I'm sure it's capable of doing whatever you want to do and there's probably tutorials on how to do it, too

Vegas gets easier, I use it all the time. Just play about and you'll pick it up.
