Before you can even think about installing phpbb you need to make sure your webserver has the folling requirements:

A webserver or web hosting account running on any major Operating System
A SQL database system, one of:
MySQL (3.22 or higher)
PostgreSQL 7.0.3 or higher (preferably 7.1.x or 7.2.x)
MS SQL Server (7 or 2000) directly or via ODBC
MS Access (2000 or XP) via ODBC
PHP (4.0.3 and above) with support for the database you intend to use above

1)Well to start off with point your web browser to: www.phpbb.com

2)Download phpbb and open the file you just downloaded, unzip it, then open the unziped file.

3)Upload the folder to your website.

4)Change the permission of config.php to 666 (-rw-rw-rw-) within your FTP program - please note if you are useing internet explorer as your FTP program you canot edit the permissions of config.php. I recomend you use Wise-FTP or SmartFTP.

5)Point your web browser to: http://www.mydomain.com/forum/install/install.php (basicly type in where you uploaded your forum then add /install/install.php).

1)Click 'Management' under Forum Admin on the admin control panel navigation.

I think its some sort of mental block with alot of the members of this forum, Liek they have some sort of deep seated grudge agaist reading the readme files supplised with scripts, and have to find an online one, writen for no real prurpoes, i mean have you seen the amount of installing stuff tutorilas?
Why is it people just wont read readme / instrcuton files anymore "/
