I was just thinking, do habbox give out a sort of "compensation" for when people have been banned unfairly?
If not i think it would be a good idea, i mean it could just be VIP for a few days. Just as a sort of sorry.

It is unusual for bans to be unfair. In my experience as a (super) moderator, bans were rarely overturned because moderators are always careful when handing out these things. They are serious punishments and are treated with such respect. In the few cases where unfair bans are handed out, these are generally rectified quickly.

I'd say 1:300 bans, probably even less, end with a result of the member being unbanned, not including if someone gains access to the AdminCP.
In my time as AFM/FM, I can think of... one instance where someone has been unbanned where it was a wrong decision.

Most bans shouldn't happen imo, they don't work and clearly don't. In my experience with issues like this, talking to the member directly via PM solves issues. It's either that or be looked at as control freaks or over-powering buffoons.

When I was a smod (which was twice) I hardly seen unfair bans given without a good reason, each ban is logged in threads in the smod forums, the contact us form is check daily (or so I believe) if someone appeals a ban the moderator can just look through the ban log thread and check to see the reasons and take action.
However with the new '5 infractions and your temped' I think that a lot more unfair bans will be given, bans should be judged on the infractions, if someone has 5 infractions for double posting they shouldn't be banned for xx amount of days, they should have less harsh consequences, if someone is constantly rude to a member they should be banned sooner than the mod waiting for xx amount of infractions - bans should change dependant on the member not how many infractions s/he has.
@the person posting about losing their vip, you break the rules you lose your vip simple as that. if the ban is reverted then I think you should gain the vip you lost - but if you were banned fairly then you deserve to lose it.
