XBOX 360 or PS3

I was gonna wait til summer to buy one. But i want one now.

Which do you think is best, and which should i get.
My brothers pretty much convinced me to go with xbox, but i want ps3 for the third getaway when it comes out :(!

And i found a playstation to xbox controller converter so i can use playstation controllers :)

Xbox has better community for online ATM but if i had neither of them i would buy the PS3 anyday, it has better graphics and better games and it is still developing and more and more people are buying them.

Buy the 40GB PS3 and you will not regret it.

But it also has abut 100 pound hidden costs. e.g membership, wireless internet adapter (If u have wireless internet obv)

To be honest it's worth the money, I'm glad I got a 360 over the PS3, at least it has decent games

If you want a console for now... go with 360, at the moment I feel its better. The PS3 though has a heap of content coming out and software updates etc and I feel overall Its going to win the generation.

I got a PS3 and was in the same situation :) The PS3 has blu-ray, and is a cheap blu-ray player at that! That was my reason in the end :P Plus it has wireless built-in which is an added bonus. And if you want it for Getaway 3, then that's a good enough reason really for it :)

I have an 360 elite, and tbh, PS3 owns it.
Ps3, has everything XBOX has and more such as;
- Internet Browser
- New Home
- Blu Ray
- Better Graphics (FTW)

And in most cases, PS3 is actually cheaper.
So I'd go for the PS3.. Too late for me now though =[

I think i'ma wait until summer and get a PS3. Might have a bit more money then and be able to buy a few more games, as well as the console.

I've been waiting for the next getaway for ages, and to get an XBOX and not be able to play it is pointless :P PS3s should've gone down a bit more by then too. :)

I've played on both and I prefer the PS3 by miles. Better graphics, got your cheap blu-ray player, free online (which is NOT as bad as people make it out to be) and some great exclusives coming out.

I was asking this question the other day, I've ordered a 42 inch HDTV and I'll be picking up a 360 in the next few months (TV set me back 1000$ AUD). For me the sealer is BK3, I personally can't wait for it.

But I really don't see much of a difference between the two. I do feel they are both worth it in their own right.

PS3 isn't in any way better. I'm not biased because I own both but the PS3 just sucks. I had quiet a few decent games when it came out and I got bored of it. All I used it for was to watch South Park online and staff because of the Internet browser and that way I could relax and watch it on my TV. No way is the PS3 a better console. ;) Xbox 360 get way more better releases. You just stick to Killzone boy. :)

There is a difference which people seem to miss, the Xbox 360 has been out longer and the PS3 has some interesting games coming out soon. But then again, it's all based around opinion what games people prefer, but the fact is the Xbox 360 has been out longer and is sure to have more games.

Even though the PS3 is more powerful on paper, the games still look worse than when they are played on the 360. Not by much, but anti-aliasing isn't as clear on the PS3.

Well, take a look at them both and see which one you personally prefer. Both have a lot to offer, but from my experience, I prefer my PS3 to my other two consoles. The 360 is a good choice for someone who wants a good amount of selection and some of the best FPS games out there (though PS3's Resistance can hold its own against any of them), but if you're into RPGs you might want to go with Sony's console, considering Square Enix is releasing most of their high-profile games exclusively on the PS3.

Get the PS3. Home will wipe out the 360 online community with its hugely extensive features, plus GTA IV is better on the PS3, so much more smooth, immersive, more peds and cars, less bugs.

I found one on GAME for £220. Found one on HMV for £210 but wouldn't let me add to basket. Found one on zavvi for £309.90.

I ordered it last night, it says its 'In progress' now. I think it might've been posted today, or might be sent tomorrow.
