To celebrate St George's Day a special 24 hour sale of a Rare is taking place and we have a very unique creative writing comp.
We have already reached our celebrations for the third of the UK's Patron Saints and we are only a third of the way through the year! Don't worry though, there is now a long gap until we celebrate St Andrew's Day (Scotland) in November. For now though, it's St George's Day so let's find out more about him and launch the competition!

St George
St George was a Greek Roman soldier of the Roman Army and lived in Turkey! Did you know that St George is actually also, among others, the Patron Saint of China, Ethiopia, Greece, Portugal and Russia? It is also widely believed that he never set foot in England during his lifetime (ca. 275-281 - April 23, 303). St George is often depicted sleighing a dragon and riding a white horse and there is usually the inclusion of the St George's Cross on his armour or shield.
To celebrate St George's Day we are challenging you to a creative writing competition of which details can be found below. We have also introduced the Rare Purple Dragon Skin Fan, which comes with a 99.9% guarantee of being fireproof. The Rare is available for 24 hours only, so don't miss out on your chance to own this very desirable item! Oh! And you'll find the England Flag (St George's Cross) is just 2 Credits for a limited time from the Flag section.

St George's Creative Writing Competition
We are looking to put your creative writing skills to the test as we challenge you to make up an interview with the patron saint of England, St George. What 10 questions would you ask St George if you had the chance and how do you imagine he would answer? The competition is limited to 10 questions only so we suggest you skip the "What is your name" question and dive straight into the interview! Your answers for St George do not have to 100% factually true, but if you are going to make things up please try to keep it believable. For example, his favourite food is unlikely to be cucumber sandwiches! That said, do be creative and do have fun coming up with some interview questions and answers!

Prize
To mark the birthday of Shakespeare we will be giving our 10 favourite interviews the Play Writers Mask Badge - a little random but it's a cool badge and suits the creative nature of this competition. They will also receive 1 Purple Dragon Skin Fan and 1 month of HC.
To enter just send your interview to [email protected] using the Subject: St George Interview. Please do not attach your interview using word or powerpoint or any other program. Simply write your text straight into the body of your email. We do not require any images. Closing date for entries to be received is Sunday 27th April at 11:59pm and winners will be chosen and announced on Monday 28th April. Only the one winning entry will be published.

Did they actually spell it "sleighing"? I've never heard a story of St George where he harnesses a dragon and uses it to tow him places.
