Well, this is what happend:

About October time, she was getting lumps in her hands and a little bit of swelling in her knee, so she went to the doctors. He gave her some tablets because he said it is an inflamed nerve, and it should go down, then to come back in November for a check up. So in November, we went back for a check up, and it had got no better. So he said, ''I think it might heal itself, if you leave it a bit, come back after christmas.'' That did nothing. So we went back, and he said, ''I will book you to see a specialist.'' So in I think it was March, we got a letter through the door about an appointment, so we went. She had a blood test, and an x-ray in the hand. The specialists made her lay on one of those things, I don't know what they are called, and told her to roll up her trousers, so she did. They was sayng ''Definatly swelling in the knee, and ganglean in the hands.'' So he sent us home with more talets! They lasted a month, and had to go back for a check up a month later. So we went back, and nothing had happend, it had just got worse and it was now 'giving away' and making her fall to the ground every so often. So they said, ''She has a condition called water on the knee, she will have to have it drained.'' So, she had a few more check ups at the hospital after that, about 2, and then on Thursday 10th April, she went to get it drained. All it is, is they put her to sleep, then get a big needle and get all of the fluid out of her knee, then send it away to see if it was a trauma or something serious. She was told to rest it for 4 days, so she did. But guess what? The swelling and fluid came back, so my mam rang the hospital the other day, and they made an appointment for today.
They told us that she has Arthritis in her knee, the white blood cells think her knee isn't part of the body, so they are attacking it. She has to go for a blood test every month, and be on tablets for god knows how long! They also found out she has arthritis in her wrist aswell!

And that's about it, lol. Poor Beth, she's gonna get hell from our P.E. teacher, 'cause she has to miss P.E. for about a year!

Edit: Sorry, it's arthritis in her wrist aswell, not just swelling
