Celebrate mother nature and all her glory in this week's Earth themed Funky Friday!
Earth Day comes around once a year. Why? Because the Earth deserves a day in it's honour! After all, we have birthdays, mothers days, fathers days and all the other 362 days in the year so why not an Earth Day?
Okay, so maybe Earth Day has been and gone but that doesn't mean it's too late to make a difference.
Nowadays, we hear about 'Global Warming' in the news. Each year April 22nd Earth Day marks he birth of modern environmental movement in 1970. Earth Day sent the message loud and clear that citizens of the Earth wanted quick and decisive action on clean energy, and did you know that it has been noted that Earth Day 2007 was one of the largest Earth Days to date? An estimated billion people participated in activities in thousands of places like Kiev, Ukraine; Caracas, Venezuela; Tuvalu; Manila, Philippines; Togo; Madrid, Spain; London; and New York! We might as well face the facts... Earth is great! To celebrate, here is this week's Funky Friday prize!
