Actual "important" bit.

In an effort to get the full amazing 256MB RAM out of my computer, I decided to delete unessicary (sp) programs and somethings which I didnt even know what they were, including... the Service Packs. Now I get a new virus every 3 seconds but my out-of-date norton gladly removes it. So ovbiously I need to reinstall them but If SP3 has them all in, I thought why not just get that so thats why I asked.

So can anyone please provide me with a link to XP SP3 / XP SP3 BETA ?

Thanks,
James

yep use that, worked fine for me :) run windows update after downloading it and it should pick up the update as being available for you.

Id never use something in beta but I have 256mb of ram on one of my PCs and I don't see that I need to upgrade either. I just don't run stupid applications like anti virus software. SP2 works fine for me and I get NO viruses. It really amazes me how people seem to get viruses all the time.

I agree Drift. I have no anti-virus software, never have because it slows the computer down so much... Never had a problem wiith a virus yet on two computers and a laptop =)

No but its different when people have important files on the laptops, me I have alot alot of very important files on this laptop and if they are "leaked" or deleted, ill be in alot of trouble.

It becomes pretty obvious when you have a virus ;) And I don't go round downloading things willy nilly, I know what I'm getting!

You don't have to download anything to get a virus ;)
