Every thread you post crap about websites when from what I see you can't do a thing...

Sorry your trying to take up a website in the social networking sector, mate its a bit late to do that seeing as the competition for your poor *** website is already high. Get a niche sector then produce something "decent" and original. Get over yourself.

At the end of the day people copy your crap and you should except that. "Taking the mick?"

Pointless argument.

Pointless thread.

Cause I think before I do stuff, something your obviously didn't do before you posted. I don't post "WEBSITES" of what I do, I don't need to prove anything to you nor anyone else. I know what I can achieve. Do you?

It is a pointless argument, but not a pointless thread.

You should really stop lying.
The possibility of you thinking wisely, is some what impossible.

I'm afraid at least Lenta's previous thread was relevant and was true, unlike this which I assume was a poor attempt at a joke.

Get over it, peoples work looks the same. You going to ask your Mums lawyer to help you sue them for a little graphical/text content? Pfft, your website is doubtfully not going to be successful.

L?KE
25-04-2008, 10:39 PM
Nobody said anything about suing. Just hilighted the fact that the layout looks similar, and therefore probably copied.

What if they did copy though, if your not doing nothing against them why advertise the fact that some little website is copying your work? Maybe if you didn't do so much time *****in' at this site copying your work I might of seen some success in your site.

Um... you posted a website design just like I did earlier today.

http://www.driftpanzy.co.uk/driftpanel.jpg

So please don't try to be smart when you can't design smart.

Im not talking about that, im talking about you saying people are copying.

Klydo
25-04-2008, 10:45 PM
The whole reason for posting about people copying is to prevent them from accusing me of copying them if they see his site first. Just like what happened with Florph and Klydo, as we were accussed of copying them when it turns out to be the other way around.

Getting the word in early means less hassle and confusion.

What if they don't check HabboxForum before they see the other site? Its the internet work gets stolen, if it is stolen you do the disputes privately you don't see Bebo accusing Myspace for copying on forums do you?

Admittedly, he is correct.

Klydo
25-04-2008, 11:00 PM
Admittedly he's not, as Bebo haven't stolen from MySpace ever. I've asked him to remove it and spoke with him for a good hour about it. Posting on a forum where we already post is just the obvious thing to do. Sure not all the internet will know but it's at least some people to back us up if the situation gets anymore serious in the future.

So he's incorrect.

Myspace & Bebo have the same contraptions; Top Friends; Profile pages and other features. Disputing publicly is pathetic.

You haven't read the thread then? It was all about him copying our old splash page. Then the only way he could work out how to do the colour changer was directly looking at ours and copying the design. He can use the colour changer method all he wants as its not ours but he can't just copy the design of it.

Features can't be "copyrighted" or anything but we're not trying to say that. As Wordpress and Virb were there long before us.

You can "trademark" features I believe. It's only a splash page though, not the main site? And if your so worried about him copying your stuff release your site before he does.

P/N = I cant be bothered anymore to argue, I was pointing out it was sad that you publish your disputes on a forum. I might as well publish my debt card.

Last sentence is irrelevant to extremes...

Also you can't trademark any features to do with an internet website. If that was possible there wouldn't be Facebook, Bebo, Netlog and whatever other social networks. The reason it's not possible it to prevent large organisations taking over.

Protege

Well, you could TM the name of the feature, but the feature itself would have to be protected under copyright, and yes other people can copy. However they get away with it as its changed ever so slightly. As stated in my last post, I'm not arguing no more over this as your likely not going to back down and I'm tired.

Klydo
25-04-2008, 11:29 PM
Yes you can copyright something but that just prevents them using whatever you made. They can easily make an identical system by themselves and it's perfectly legal. You can't no own a feature online as it's just not possible.

Hypertext
26-04-2008, 01:42 AM
You can't copyright any actual feature. You can copy itself, but somebody could make a version doing the same thing.

You can.. it is called a patent.

You can patent a method/and or an idea, and the same product can't be made by another company using the same method of completion.

Hypertext
26-04-2008, 02:05 AM
True, but it's quite hard to patent many online features, as their so generic and used on every site of their kind. Mostly.

Dentafrice

Most things aren't "generic."
