Do you think the moderators are a bit too harsh with them? I mean you can get banned for the smallest things. This certainly ain't a nursery so why should people be infracted for calling someone an idiot? It's out of order!

I got 2 infractions both with points for the same thing! in the second one jesus said he had already warned me before he gave the infraction when if you look at the time of post and the time of infraction it is so blatantly obvious I posted it well before the first infraction. Also why should the mods and smods be able to edit your complaints about the infraction in the report thread? It's not right.

Post what you think about it.

I think it's fine.
I've never had an infraction, it's not really that hard to avoid them :/

MODs are not 'harsh' we are doing our job and enforcing the rules, we don't give infractions because we hate you.

If you break the rules you will be punished, if you feel you are being hard done to feel free to report the infraction.

I think Jade just proved the obvious point here. If you follow the rules, and have actually read them when they are produced it's really easy not to gain any at all. So it's basicly about stopping yourself before you post.

Its not hard to follow the rules as has been said. The only infraction I have is because my signature was in latin, and I completely forgot to change it. If you choose to act like an e-rebel, then thats your choice, but expect to get punished. Anyway, I think most MODs do a great job!

I don't think its harsh either not because im a smod but because there has to be a behaviour system on the forum hence why there has been an automatic ban taken into place. But if you think that we are treating you like nursery kids then don't act like one its simple.

And about the report to intraction thing say if i gave you an infraction and you complain i cant deal with as a another smod has to deal with its same with admin and (assistant) general manager giving infractions but we don't deal with it other admins and (assistant) general manager deal with thoes :)

hope this has answered it lol

Stupid reason for a infraction, the foreign language rule is stupid... I thought it was being removed?

I hardly ever give infractions unless needed.

Most of the time, I just leave an edit, seeing as most of the posts are only minor rule breaks. :8

i dont think mods are harsh.

my only recent warning was because i accidentally said something witch avoided the filter i guess.

but it was fair.

you probably think every one is out to get out

Ditto, although straying out of my native games forum, it seems to be more necessary these days!

I'm actually pleasantly surprised by the amount of people who have said "no, its fine." Kk's post illustrates the stregnths of the infraction system perfectly: he (I hope its a he anyway!) is still in support of it despite receiving warnings in the past and doesn't receive them any more, showing the system does its job.

As for the first post, people are infracted for calling people idiots because it is unecessary, rude and unpleasant. It creates a bad atmosphere on the forum and causes arguments, which cause threads to be closed and make people annoyed, especially when a good discussion was happening. I can't think of any situation where calling someone an idiot is necessary and justified, its just rude and patronising.

It may seem a bit silly, but many forums/sites actually use it as well.

As the staff speak English, we don't know what they are saying!

Neither will a large majority of members anyway, it'll be counted as pointless posting unless there is a meaning behind it.

I dont think its great but its ok

some rules are silly

like not foregn languege,

I see it all from the mods view, they could be swearing etc.

But i got an infracrtion

accusing of scamming

I see the mods point,
I could be lieng

im in the middle i suppose

coz i do think my infaction wasnt amazinglt fair

But I do see where it is fair

I usually get away with infractions 'cause mods dont bother doing anything.

Some mods are just dumb though. They don't read posts properly and are too quick to infract.
