GTA sub-forum

I think this may have been mentioned before but I'd like to suggest it again. I think a GTA IV subforum needs to be made in Console Gaming.

Nearly that whole page of threads is about GTA and it's not going to die down when the game is actually released.

Is there really a demand? It'll die down within a few months... A sub-forum normally means a subject that will stay for a while e.g. Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft...

And people will chuck about friend codes/user names which would confuse everyone and you'll have to specify which console you're talking about with GTA.

Because they're not needed :) Sub forums are usually only put in place to stop the parent forum becoming clogged up with threads on that topic.

Then you have to take into account how long it will last and if the forum has always been clogged up. It's only clogged up now because of repetitive threads due to pre-release. A sub-forum is a good idea, but it won't last for more than a few months...

Again, the forum isn't filled with those sorts of threads, and some of the ones are exclusive to certain consoles too.

Not really? COD4 doesn't have as big a audience as GTA 4 would have. Just because one thing has a sub-forum, doesn't mean something significantly smaller should have one too...

This is quite a good idea. When the game comes out, people will still post eastereggs, cheats, help with missions, cool videos.
Of course, the management won't do it, because their lazy and instead want to implement useless things we don't need.

I get the feeling that this will die down soon after the initial craze passes. It just came out so obviously the hype is there, but much like ClubTropica after the craze passes people will move on.

Exactly as the nvrator has said, a subforum for such a game, despite it being the best selling game of the year, is not needed for the moment.

However, should demand continue, it'll be considered. (Just as World of Warcraft was moved)

I'm sure we should have a sub-forum, the games more popular than CT! Rockstar said they want the game to last a good 3-4 years and will keep on releasing downloads for it. I think a sub-forum will be a good idea, like other people said trial it if you want. HOWEVER you didn't trial CT did you? And that wasn't even a blinking sub-forum it was a section of it's own!!! :rolleyes:

A sub-forum would be good, then guides and stuff could be posted, it's a big game so alot of people will be wanting to find stuff for it, the only problem is after a few months it'll probably become less popular so really no use for it

HOW ABOUT THIS:

If there are a decent amount of threads about this in, lets say, two months, then a sub-forum could be a possibility, until then, why the hell are you even discussing it? Yes, there's alot of threads for it - but when, lets say, v21 came out on Habbo, there was lots of threads - do you see "Version 21 Discussion"?

And tutorials and whatever crap your trying to make up to get a forum can simply go in console gaming? Job done.

(Oh, and I have GTA VI on my Xbox 360, so no, i'm not being bias.)
