Hello,

It sounds silly, but I'm looking for a good font for classic quotation marks. The ones with the round circle in them, not just the standard two lines (").

Anyone know any good ones?

Thanks.

Could you not use an image?

Yes... but I was thinking of using a font to make the image. And I can't use a random image of quotation marks because I want to make them a bit transparant.

You could still use an image.

You could still use an image.

The idea is that he wants to make his own image using a font. You know, make them look 'just right'...

Segoe UI.

That's just two lines, not the proper circular then curve thing.

2 lines are a correct way to display quotation marks.

66 and 99's are what I believe are the correct way to display them. Anyway, I was looking through dafont.com with preview on " and managed to find one, thanks anyway guys.

Some may be custom, if not all of them.
See if you have them though.

I believe there is no 'original' fonts which have nice 66 99's. Arial (rounded) looks good offline, but once you use a font online it changes.

Quite amazing, I think one day i'll take the time to find out why. If you do find a font which looks good online, please reply so other members can be informed.

Thanks.

Georgia is a very classical looking font and it's quotation marks are like 66 and 99, very curvy.

Thanks for the contributions but I forgot to close the thread. I found a lot of font quotation marks changed in microsoft word which was weird. Anyway, thread closed.
