Peel police spent five hours Wednesday night questioning nearly 200 passengers aboard a flight from Moscow after a man described as heavily intoxicated died before the plane landed at Pearson International Airport.
Several people on board the nine-hour Aeroflot flight were drinking straight from a bottle, said passengers on the plane that landed in Toronto at 5:28 p.m.
One passenger who police described as a 41-year-old Russian man caught several people's attention.
“The guy was really drunk and annoying people,” said Mike, 34, who didn't want his last name used.
The man got into arguments with several people before he was escorted toward the front of the plane, he said.
Another passenger, Vsevolod Timofeev, said he saw the man lie down in the corridor between economy and business class and turned blue.
