Didn't really expect to win anything and I didn't, so here it is:

Please don't hate it too much.
/10?

It's trying to show the effects on the environment we have with global warming etc.

I understand your idea, on the one side of the room, there is a lot of energy being used, way too much, 2 tv's for example. The effects can be seen on the green side.

If you didn't win this time, keep trying, you have to be in it to win it, so don't give up hope, good luck for next time, your turn will come :)

Very nice!
I got the idea straight away.
I think you should move some of the plants though so you can actually see the room or something along those lines, and maybe add more to that side as well.

Its ok, but I think some of the rooms posted here for this comp overshadow it a bit. I wouldn't have known what it was about unless Alice posted that :P

When you are creating a room for a competition, there are a few things you need to consider. I'm not preaching, just judged quite a few room competitions long ago ;)

1. Judges perhaps don't always have the time to take a proper look at your room and see what it truly represents, they dash about visiting room after room. So it's important to have a focal. A centre piece or similar that will wow or strike them when they enter.

2. How do you overcome that? You need to make your room a memorable one. Sometimes it's the simplest room that stands out. It's worth looking at previous winners particularly those that have used lots of yukkas for example to symbolize a tree. Imagine the judge walks in the room, they can instantly see what all the yukkas placed together represent, and I bet they instantly think yeah I like this.

I liked your room, but only after I took the time to study it, which is something judges don't always give or have time for, and a judge who has the time may well have chosen yours to win :)

I hope this helps you for next time!
