Why does it keep freezing when it loads?
Like the first mission

it freezes forever on load
and i had to turn it off and it still freezes :S

+REP if it works

( i dont want to keep deleting the data, and so it has to re install! )

You just turn it off and on again till it works... Mine did once but hasn't done it for a while.

Same here buddy...

I was playing with my freind, just me and him on the Free Roam/Party Mode, when I was driving a boat. Just froze up, so I had to Quit Game, it came up 'Please Wait' and then the console restarted and took me back to my Playstation main screen.

I had to delete all my save games and gata data, and start again, but to my surprise, it happended again! By this time I was very very annoyed, and it did it again.

I am very very BEEPED and hope they sort it soon. Type 'GTA Freezing' into Google to get some interesting articles.

I bought it in a bundle with brand new PS3, at HMV.

Log out of PSN, disable internet connection and retry

This may be caused by playing it too much?

I wonder why it is happening now... Is it really GTA IV or a PSN error that effects it? Considering other games are working fine :S

Jeez, always one. It's not the console, it's the game  The console itself is really good, just the game being a bit odd.

does it happen when the game starts up and it says Loading - Mission Name then it just stays like that? That happened to me this morning i just restarted the game and it was fine.
